Such a heartbreaking day. Our girl Hope passed away.

We believe she suffered a heart attack. We don’t know her exact age—she was born into a feral colony—but she had been with us for nearly 6 years, and our hearts are absolutely shattered.

This is Hope.
We rescued her at the end of April 2020. She was living a truly awful life—having litter after litter of babies, eating garbage just to survive, constantly in fear, never knowing when her next meal would come or if she’d find a safe, warm place to sleep.

Hope was our very first rescue from the Langley, WA feral colony.

The day after we caught her, she gave birth to 10 babies.
Nine survived, and every one of them was adopted into loving homes. After that, we had her spayed, and I promised her she would never have to be a mama again.

She went on to live her best life here with us.
Hope was a wonderful house bunny and one of our sanctuary residents. She wasn’t adoptable—not because she wasn’t loved, but because she simply wanted to be left alone. She tolerated taking treats from us, but she never enjoyed human interaction beyond that, no matter how patient or gentle we tried to be. And that was okay. We accepted her exactly as she was.

We never knew how old she truly was.

To think that this bunny once lived feral in Langley—pregnant every 30 days for who knows how many years, starving, sunburned, fur coarse and damaged, scavenging for food and water, never safe—until the day I hand-caught her and saved her life.

She practically begged me to catch her.
She was painfully thin except for her large pregnant belly. I will never forget that moment.

From that day on, she knew safety, warmth, full bowls, and peace.
She had the run of our house.
She was loved.
She was safe.

Hope was with us forever—and now she will be in our hearts forever.

We pray that every single rescue we help can have a happy ending like Hope’s. 🌈🐰

Rest peacefully, sweet girl.
You were so deeply loved.

💔 We need help… now more than ever. 💔

Our generous donor match is still unable to send their portion until early next year due to a family emergency. We completely understand — but in the meantime, our donations have come to a standstill.

What little we were able to raise has already been completely used up by urgent vet bills, medications, hay, pellets, litter, and daily care for our sanctuary bunnies. Every dollar went directly to them… and now there is nothing left.

This is especially hard during the holiday season. While many are celebrating, our bunnies still rely on us every single day for food, warmth, medical care, and safety — and we are struggling to keep up without support coming in.

We truly hate asking. But we need help right now.
If you are able to donate, share, or even just keep our bunnies in your thoughts, it means more than we can put into words.

🐰✨ Giving Tuesday — Help Us Bless Our Bunnies One Last Time This Year ✨🐰

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day when kindness spreads a little further and generosity shines a little brighter. As we wrap up the year, we’re asking for one final gift to help us care for the sweet sanctuary bunnies who rely on us every single day.

Your Giving Tuesday donation goes directly toward the things that make their lives safe, happy, and healthy, including:

🌾 Hay – fresh, quality hay that keeps their tummies healthy
🥕 Pellets – daily balanced nutrition for all our bunnies
🛏️ Bedding & Litter Pellets – to keep their spaces clean and comfortable
🎁 Toys & Enrichment – because every bunny deserves joy, stimulation, and fun
💗 Special Needs & Senior Care – gentle support for our older or medically fragile buns

Every dollar makes a real impact — and every donation, big or small, helps us continue giving them the love and comfort they deserve.

If you’re able, we humbly ask for one last donation of the year in honor of Giving Tuesday. Your support means more than we can ever express, and our bunnies feel the love in every soft bed, every belly-full of hay, and every toy they toss with joy.

After a Difficult Month, We’re Back 💔🐰

After about a month of being off Facebook, we finally got our page back. It’s been such a difficult time trying to care for our senior sanctuary bunnies with no way to fundraise or reach our supporters.

Sadly, we suffered a heartbreaking loss — our sweet Tiger had a major seizure and passed away in my arms at the vet. 💔 They have no idea what caused it, and it shattered our hearts to lose him so suddenly.

The rest of our bunnies are doing well, but we’re in urgent need of supplies to keep everyone healthy and comfortable — hay, food pellets, litter pellets, and bedding are all running low.

Any and all help is so deeply appreciated. Every bit goes directly to our sanctuary buns who depend on us every single day. 💕

If you’re able to help, please consider donating or sending supplies — it truly makes all the difference for our little seniors.

💔 We’re exhausted, heartbroken and desperate 💔

I’m writing this with tears in my eyes because I feel so sad, confused, and defeated right now. We have poured everything into caring for these precious lives. We have over 2,700 followers, yet only a handful of consistent donors keeping us afloat. We are so grateful for those few — but the reality is that we are drowning.

Right now, we’re facing another emergency. Our sweet girl Hope had to go in for urgent care and her bill was $1,500. We’ve managed to raise only $300 so far. This was money we had to pull from other critical obligations and we desperately need to recover it ASAP so we can continue to care for the bunnies who depend on us.

Every single dollar counts. If even a fraction of our followers gave just a few dollars, we could recover this bill immediately and breathe a little easier. Please, if you’ve ever thought about helping, now is the time.

🌸💔 In Loving Memory of LuLu 💔🌸

Our sweet LuLu, who came to us not long ago, was finally beginning to thrive after the neglect she endured. She had been gaining weight, eating well, and showing signs of feeling safe and loved.

But early this morning, tragedy struck. LuLu gave birth to three fully developed but stillborn babies. Despite her strength, she passed quietly and peacefully shortly after. We believe the years of malnourishment and neglect she suffered played a role in this heartbreaking outcome.

LuLu deserved so much better. She should have never been put through the pain and risks of breeding. This loss is a painful reminder of why we speak so strongly about the importance of spaying and neutering rabbits. Too often, their suffering is the result of human irresponsibility.

LuLu was cherished in her short time here. She left this world knowing love, comfort, and gentleness. Her memory will fuel our ongoing fight to prevent others from enduring the same fate.

Please, in her honor, spay and neuter your rabbits. It saves lives. It prevents heartbreak. It matters. 🐰💔

If you’d like to honor LuLu’s memory by helping us continue caring for our remaining bunnies, donations are always so deeply appreciated:
