The picture is of JIMSONWEED. It is highly toxic to horses.
Due to our drought, grass is dried up and weeds may be taking over in your paddocks or dry lots .
Please pull this out if you see it.
Normally horses would leave it alone, but if it’s the only thing green, they could get curious .

The leaves can be as large as oak leaves. The flowers stand out from the base of the plant, and there is a spiny seed pod.

We wanted to send out a reminder that our Regenerative Medicine client education night is this Thursday, Feb 1st, at 6:30pm for those that RSVP’ed.
We are at our limit so I am sorry if you weren’t able to get in on this event.
The Dooryard is located behind the Flourgirl Bakery, and there is plenty of parking in the back.

Please join us in welcoming Kiera Egan DVM to Connecticut Equine Clinic.

Dr Egan grew up on Long Island,NY, where her love of horses began as a child, when she started riding at a local stable.
Dr Egan received her BS in Biomedical Sciences from Marist College, and went on to graduate from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her undergraduate years, Dr Egan’s passion for equine medicine flourished as she gained invaluable experience at Rhinebeck Equine and James C Hunt & Associates at Belmont Racetrack during the summers.
Dr Egan’s professional interests include wound management, field surgery, neonatal care, and podiatry. Outside of work, she enjoys pottery, rowing, and is starting to get back into riding.

Welcome Dr Egan!!!!!
