The picture is of JIMSONWEED. It is highly toxic to horses.
Due to our drought, grass is dried up and weeds may be taking over in your paddocks or dry lots .
Please pull this out if you see it.
Normally horses would leave it alone, but if it’s the only thing green, they could get curious .
The leaves can be as large as oak leaves. The flowers stand out from the base of the plant, and there is a spiny seed pod.
