Happy Chickmas Season!

We will be back doing Chick Day Events soon. Our first hatch will be Jan 8th and our first events will be Jan 9th & 10th.

For those of you wanting something different than ordering online sight unseen and having chicks shipped to you in the mail running the risk of them being delayed and possibly not making it to your house in time, come check us out. We do things a little different around here. Our business model is centered around us bringing our chicks to feed stores in the surrounding 4 state area from us in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, & Oklahoma. We dont go to the big box chain stores. We go to locally owned farm supply stores within 3-5 hours from our hatchery here in Amsterdam, MO. We hatch weekly, and have Chick Day Events every Friday and Saturday from mid January thru Mid November. We visit 2-3 stores each of those days. We take pre-orders the week of the events to reserve chicks for you. We try to have chicks available for cash and carry sales but if you want Pullets or specific breeds we encourage you to call and preorder to make sure we have what you want.

Heading out to blood test a few late bloomers this morning. We will be picking up our first set of hatching eggs next Wednesday Dec 17th and our first hatch will be Jan 8th. Stay tuned for a new schedule of events along with our 2026 breeds/price list. We will have those out as soon as possible. Have a great Christmas and we will see you all in January!

While we are on hiatus for the holiday season, we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their business this year. To all of our customers this year, thank you so much for sticking with us. We know that this year was challenging for everyone who wanted early spring chicks. It was hard to get ahold of us to order, supply and demand was intense and we ran out of some things pretty quick each week, and the lines were long at the locations. Nothing about that was ideal, but we appreciate everyone for their patience and understanding during that spring rush. We made some changes and will be making some more changes in the next year to try to accommodate more people. We are small and are not set up to take orders prior to each week's hatch, so that part won't change, but we have increased our flocks in hopes of being able to produce more pullet chicks for the increase demands and we will of course be using the land line phone number to take orders with on Mondays starting in January. Stay tuned to our page. We will post our 2026 price list very soon and will have January's schedule up as soon as the dates are finalized.

To our business partners that allow us to come to their farm supply stores we sincerely appreciate your cooperation and business relationship. This allows us to be at the center of activity where the customer buys their feed and supplies and alleviates you from the responsibility of caring for the chicks for days while you sell them. We hope it has been a positive experience for you all and we cannot thank you enough and look forward to continuing to work with you in the coming year. Side Note: I created this post a couple of days ago and tagged all the store but the FB police told me I was tagging too many people and deleted the post. I have attached a PDF list of all our locations we went to in 2025.

To any of our followers who want to see us come to your area, feel free to send us a message of the location you are interested in. Keep in mind, we try to keep our locations within 3-4 hrs. from our home base in Amsterdam, MO and no closer than 30 minutes from established locations. We do not go to big box stores. They prefer to buy their own chicks and sell them, so we go to individual farm supply stores. Please understand we do a lot of traveling and due to the nature of our business most of the time we have to make a round trip there and back home in one day. Having said all that, we are always looking for new locations in certain areas and would welcome your input.

We’ve been enjoying our first few days off this year since shutting down the hatchery last Thursday. Our grandson is here so we decided to take a visit to the zoo. Hope you all are having a great fall and are getting ready for the holidays. We will be back and going selling baby chicks in January.
