AHS UPDATE

Because of Misty’s longstanding leadership at AHS, thousands of animals — once suffering — are happy and healthy, in furever homes. 🐶🐱🐾

Now that we have moved from the shelter, we are looking into community projects, taking it slowly, and working with Misty and Michael to forge the path ahead.

Misty Daniels, our executive director, is the reason we are who we are.

She's recently been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma.

This sweet, laid back fellow is available for adoption!! 🎉🐾💕

Jack Frost loves treats, Kong toys and big bones.

He walks great on a leash and is doing well with potty training! 🙌

He’s 2 years old — so he’s past that rambunctious puppy phase. 🥰 He weighs 56 pounds.

St. Nick has the sweetest eyes, doesn’t he?! 😍

This playful, precious pup LOVES cuddles. 🥰

⭐️ St. Nick is AVAILABLE for adoption ANYWHERE in the country, as long as we can get him there! 🚐

Here’s more about him:

✅ Is crate trained

✅ Does great on a leash

✅ Is 2 years old, so past the rambunctious puppy stage

✅ Is treat-motivated

✅ Likes stuffed toys and bones

✅ Keeps his blankets and toys in his pet taxi that’s inside his kennel — so cute

✅ Keeps his crate clean

✅ Is a little goofy sometimes — likes to dump his food out of the bowl and eat in off the floor😆

This cuddly 60-pound hound would love a home to call his own.

Way too cold for dogs and cats. Please keep them warm. If possible, bring inside. Frostbite, hypothermia and death are real risks this week.

Dogs & cats are not wild animals. Most aren’t bred for this & could freeze to death. Empty doghouse is NOT sufficient. Please keep them warm this week!
