Supercan Recalls Bully Sticks Pig Ears Slivers Due to Salmonella Contamination (April 1, 2025)

Supercan is recalling a single lot of its Bully Sticks Pig Ears Slivers – Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices pet treats following confirmation of Salmonella contamination. The Washington State Department of Agriculture discovered the bacteria through routine sample testing, prompting the company to initiate the recall on April 1, 2025. Salmonella poses a significant health risk to pets, potentially causing symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. Furthermore, humans can contract Salmonella by handling contaminated pet treats, leading to symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever.
