Sweet Paws Rescue is thrilled to announce a new and exciting chapter in its journey: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝟐𝟎-𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐱𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐬, which will now serve as the permanent home for its rescue operations. Originally, Sweet Paws Rescue had been under agreement to purchase a property in Bradford, Massachusetts however despite proper due diligence, the sudden passing of the Bradford property’s owner led to complications with the estate and an unexpected pricing shift, making the acquisition financially unfeasible.

Our new home located in Boxford was previously known as being home to SpringTide Farm and has been a beloved landmark in the community. We know this property holds deep meaning for many, and while its chapter as a horse farm will be missed, we are honored to carry its legacy forward. The farm’s existing barn infrastructure and miles of trails offer a layout that not only accelerates Sweet Paws Rescue’s timeline but also strengthens our long-term vision.

The purchase of the Boxford property marks the completion of Phase 1 of the capital campaign. But while this is a significant achievement, the work is far from over. We still have two important phases left.

🌟Renovating and repurposing the existing area of the main barn for intake and quarantine spaces
🌟 Developing a large, fenced-in play yard
🌟Creating Casa de Cats, a sanctuary space for adoptable and special-needs felines

🌟Launching youth camps and educational programming
🌟Building community-based humane education initiatives
🌟Building out a dedicated veterinary suite for supplemental care
🌟Rescuing and providing lifelong sanctuary for farm animals in need

Sweet Paws Rescue now turns to its community to help fund the renovations, build-out, and programming that will define this new chapter. Donations, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts are all needed to carry the mission forward.
