🌾 Foxtails: A Hidden Danger for Pets 🐶
Foxtails may look harmless, but they can be extremely dangerous for dogs.

These grass seed awns can work their way into your pet's: 👂 Ears 👃 Nose 👁️ Eyes 🐾 Paws 🩹 Skin

Unlike a splinter, foxtails don't work their way back out. They continue moving deeper into the body, which can lead to painful infections and, in severe cases, become life-threatening if not treated promptly.

⚠️ Watch for these signs: • Excessive licking or chewing at a paw • Head shaking or scratching at the ears • Limping • Swelling or redness • Sneezing repeatedly • Red, watery, or squinting eyes

🐾 Help protect your pet by: ✔️ Avoiding areas with dry, tall grasses ✔️ Checking paws, ears, armpits, and between the toes after walks ✔️ Brushing your dog regularly ✔️ Keeping up with routine grooming appointments

A few minutes of checking your pet after outdoor adventures can prevent a painful emergency.
