To my wonderful customers following Heart to Heart Dog Grooming , I have some sad news to share hopefully before you hear it second had. Heart to Heart will be closing at the end of March.
For the past 14 months, I have been greatly struggling with an Autoimmune condition. I pushed myself as long as I possibly could and hoped it would go into remission but it has not. If love could groom dogs, I would go on forever. Unfortunately, our bodies sometimes fail us.
After a lot of internal conflict and denial, I finally made the right decision.
The past 2 years have been divine💜. So many caring, kind people and so many wonderful dogs.
Great times and great memories.
I am thankful and grateful for the 2 years we had.

Next, I shave. This method leaves a some hair because the clippers glide right through.

I did my version of a wet shave. I put the dog in a filled tubby and use a ton of conditioner. I work it in and they soak for 15 minutes. I don't rinse and take the dog to the grooming table lightly toweled off.

Today I had an extremely matted dog whose mats were soooo tight. Has to do with the type of coat so I did a process which makes shaving this coat safer and much more comfortable for the dog.
