Meet Emery 💔🐾 A Story of Survival and Hope

Yesterday, this tiny 10-week-old kitten was facing euthanasia. Today, she's safe in our arms — and we’ve named her Emery, a name that symbolizes strength and resilience.

Emery has endured unthinkable cruelty. She came to us after surviving severe trauma — half her ear was cut off, her pelvis fractured, one hind leg broken, and the other luxated out of the hip socket. She's in pain, scared, and understandably shut down — but even now, she doesn’t lash out. Instead, she pancakes quietly when approached, trusting in the tiniest way that not all hands will hurt her.

Emery’s road to recovery will be long and delicate. She needs extensive medical care and time to heal — not just her body, but her spirit, too. Our priority is giving her the comfort, treatment, and love she needs to feel safe and whole again. We will keep her quality of life in mind, but we are hoping Emery will recover and heal.

Once she’s recovered, fully vaccinated, and medically cleared, Emery will be looking for a very special forever home — one filled with gentleness, patience, and love.

It’s coming into Holiday season and for the holidays (year round really but let’s say it’s for the holidays) we would love to rescue, take care of their medical and vet needs, and then adopt out some in-desperate-need cats through our partnership with ACCT for cats at risk of euthanasia 🩷 The Angel Fund that helps us cover their care is lower since we took on quite a few medical cases this year and to rescue more we are hoping to fill it back up!

If you would like to donate please let us know and you can can call the hospital directly, donate in person or donate online!

If you choose to donate online we just ask you send us a message/comment/ text or put a note in the payment to let us know it was a donation for the angel fund.

We really, really appreciate it and love being able to help these animals in need, so thank you to all our wonderful clients for the assistance!

Here is a picture of Anastasia our most recent senior surrender who is getting the medical treatment she needs and will hopefully be up for adopting in a few weeks! She is an incredible sweetheart who is learning the joys of being an indoor, office cat and loving getting healthy and being safe!

If anyone is missing this sweetheart please let us know! She looks to be about 10 years old. She is a big purr machine and loves attention. One of our clients found her in their backyard and brought her in to be scanned for a microchip. Unfortunately, she is not chipped. They were not able to keep her so we took her in. If no one claims her she will be available for adoption after about a month. We've named her Anastasia and we are excited to welcome her to the Spring House family ❤️

Hello everyone!

We will be closing early today at 2pm. Unfortunately, our AC is still out and with the local temperatures reaching over 97 degrees it is not safe to have anyone in until the temperatures and sun drop off a little tomorrow. We do plan to open tomorrow at normal times. Stay cool!

We are having trouble with our AC in the building and apologize that it is warmer than usual right now inside. We have someone scheduled to come look at it as soon as we were able to get them and see what we can do. In the meantime we will announce any changes to our schedule here and through our email contacts!

Tomorrow the office will be closed for the 4th of July. We will resume normal hours of 8:30am-6:00pm on Friday, July 5th. If you haven’t already, please call us today if you need to pick up any calming aid for pets who may be afraid of fireworks.
