So sorry for the lack of updates! We moved, had my disability hearing, lots of doctor appointments, etc. Things have calmed a bit and I should be able to regularly update again 😊

I haven't posted any pictures or updates in a while!
Luna has been starting to alert when my heart rate is too high. I didn't realize what she was doing at first, but it seems to correlate to my tachycardia. She will sit on my feet and nudge me with her nose if we are out in public. If I am home and laying down she lays on me. It's so interesting how she responds to all of my different symptoms and not just my blood sugar highs and lows.

I've been trying to find ways to exercise again. I am still doing yoga and it really helps with my hip pain and some of the neuropathy in my legs. I have been struggling with my weight though, and I knew I needed to find something else I could do. Today I started teaching myself how to skate. Luna seems to enjoy it too. She stays right beside me and smiles.

If you haven't checked it out yet, www.mychroniclife.me is up and running. So far there is only one post but more are scheduled to post over the next few days. The blog goes through life with chronic illness, service dogs, mental illness, and learning to be your own advocate.

Today has been rough. I had to lay down a lot and really try to take it easy. I needed a sit down break during our trip to Target. Luckily, everyone at our Amarillo Target is super nice and knows us fairly well. No one bothered me when I plopped down near the refrigerated section to catch my breath and take advantage of the cool air. Luna enjoyed it too and plopped down next to me.
Thank you Target for always being so helpful, accommodating, and just absolutely cool about my Luna. The employees at that store really care about their customers. ❤

We've been using this trick to reinforce her sit/stay. She is SO excited to do it for everyone now because she can catch the toy when it flies off her nose! 😂 she gets so proud and runs around the house to show the toy to everyone.

Life Tip: If you wouldn't complain about someone's wheelchair in a fast food restaurant, then don't complain about my service dog.

She didn't make a peep. She tucked herself under my table. She didn't even stare at you the way that you felt it ok to stare at me in judgement.

Instead of complaining, educate yourself, and just be happy you don't need one. 😊
