I’m so proud to introduce my newest addition, “Made Ya Look.” He is absolutely stunning, and I have such high hopes for him. I went to see him this weekend at his competition in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and he is seriously to die for. I’m so grateful that God put this journey together for me, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes me.
A lot of you know I’ve been obsessed with toy poodles since I was a kid. My first toy poodle, Ashley, lived to be 20 years old and had the most amazing life. When she passed, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. It was like losing my best friend, and my whole world just stopped. I swore I’d never get another dog again.
After about three years without her, I decided to “just look” at toy poodles again, and honestly, what I saw broke my heart. So many were being bred horribly, nothing like the true toy poodles I grew up loving. That’s when I started reaching out to show breeders, because I couldn’t just sit back and watch a breed I care so much about lose its quality, health, and type. I knew I had to do something.
That’s when I got my first show-quality poodle, Pierre, from an amazing breeder in Lubbock. He opened my whole world to showing and encouraged me to join the Panhandle Kennel Club in Amarillo. Since then, I’ve been able to bless families with the joy of having well-bred toy poodles, and it finally feels like everything in my life is coming together in the best way.
Watching this journey unfold has reminded me why I fell in love with this breed in the first place. Every step, every show, every puppy placed in the right home feels like a piece of my heart being put exactly where it’s meant to be. I’m beyond grateful for everyone who has supported me, believed in me, and trusted me. This is only the beginning, and my heart is so full This journey has taken me further than I ever imagined, and I know it’s just the start. With each new step, each new dog, and each new goal, I feel more driven and more excited about where this program is headed. I’m building something I’m proud of, and the best chapters are still ahead of me.
Sometimes life brings you back to the very thing you thought you lost forever. What started with a little toy poodle named Ashley has now grown into a purpose and a passion I could have never predicted. She’s the reason I’m here, and every step forward feels like honoring her. This journey means everything to me. These dogs have brought so much healing, joy, and purpose into my life. Being able to raise, show, and share them with others feels like giving a little bit of happiness back to the world. I’m excited to keep learning, keep growing, and keep building this program with love at the center of it all.
