They are your first line of communication for all your pets veterinary needs, from greeting you upon arrival to ensuring your pets have received the care they need at checkout. They offer words of comfort and support during stressful situations, they celebrate milestones with you, and are there to support your pet through every stage of life.

We hope everyone stays safe during Snowstorm Elsa! Expected snowfall is through Monday afternoon.

We know road crews and emergency workers are doing their best to respond and keep roads cleared, for that we are very thankful.

We ask that all of our clients reach out (715-598-7180) to reschedule Monday appointments for Tuesday-Thursday of this week IF ROAD CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL ADVISORIES have not improved and are still in effect for Monday. We want to safely see those wagging tails and purring smiles in clinic. Please do not risk travel if you are uncomfortable doing so come Monday.

We woke up to nearly two feet of snow by 10am and that was after shoveling several inches last night before bed.

I have been keeping a very big secret that I am excited to finally be able to share: THMVC is expanding and will now have a physical location to start seeing patients in a clinic!

I will continue to offer in-home care for those pets and clients that need the service. Additionally, there will be appointments available in clinic and new services offered that previously were not an option. We are now equipped to provide radiology services, dental treatments, and surgical procedures 🩻 🦷 💉

I want to thank everyone for your patience during the past few weeks as I was completing the purchase requirements. I ask for your continued understanding and patience as we transition into the clinic and begin training for STAFF MEMBERS - let me tell you how EXCITED I am to have staff!!

We will begin booking this coming week once training is complete. Please continue to follow us here for additional information as changes are made.

Most importantly, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. Khan for the opportunity to continue serving the community at the Altoona location. Thank you for what you built at Healthy Pet Altoona.

I’ve been delaying this post for a few weeks now. Saying good-bye to Peanut was so much harder than I expected. She wasn’t my heart dog, she WAS my kids snuggle buddy, her emotional support, the bedtime companion Charlotte needed. I thought she would need me but I was wrong. Kids are so much stronger than we give them credit for.

The last month before we said good-bye Peanut went through so many changes. She developed sudden muscle loss and neurological changes in her left forelimb. She started to lose weight without changes to her appetite. Her ability to do her normal daily activities was changing. She was constantly in pain, had tensed up muscles, walked with a hunch and S curve to her spine. And she was losing that spark to her eyes- she was trying to keep going and wanted to keep up with her housemates. But the pain was too great. I couldn’t watch her struggle anymore and I made the decision to let her go peacefully.

We still miss Peanut everyday 🐾 💕 🌈
