Hello, clients, friends, and family!
I am making this post for those who may or may not know about our recent struggles with the mobile grooming truck.
We were towed on October 22nd during a work day with a transmission failure. Our truck is a unicorn of a vehicle being a 1994 E-350 ambulance, hence why we call her “Amber”.
It was extremely difficult to find a company to replace the exact transmission we needed. When we did align with a mechanic that could order the parts, we ended up being sent faulty and incompatible parts and delayed over and over.
After almost two whole months of being parked I can finally say we are mobile once again! 🎉
I want to give some important thanks to the people that made this happen:
-To the kind man who towed us I cannot recall your name but the business is Mountain View Towing & Recovery. Thanks for the ride!
-To Keith and Matt at Kidder's Repair Service in Barnstead who put in probably a hundred phone calls and many hours staying late to make sure we got the right transmission and torque converter from the transmission company. You went above and beyond for us and we cannot thank you enough for taking this on and seeing it through!
-To my Dad, Doug who put in not one but two transmissions and spent countless hours problem solving and helping us through this. Not to mention housing our truck in the driveway and garage through all the uncertainty. So many meals and generosity from both him and Mama Stacey when there were days we thought it would never be over.
-To my brother Matt who has made many repairs on the truck since we begun our mobile journey.
-To my INCREDIBLE clients who never failed us. The support from you was overwhelmingly positive and got us through this. Not many mobile businesses can say that they could be broken down for 6+ weeks and keep their clients even when there was no guarantee when we would be able to visit again. I can seriously say I never received a single angry voicemail or text message from any one of you despite the constant delays. Many of you were even kind enough to gift us baked goods and offered to pre-pay for appointments.
I cannot put to words the appreciation I have for you and your lovely dogs. I consider myself extremely lucky that you choose me to be the one honored with taking care of your fur babies 🥰🐾
The schedule for 2026 is in the works!
We will be making some important changes going into the next year, some of you may see price increases as many of you know, we moved over the summer and are just a little farther away now. All of these changes will be to ensure we are prepared for further unforeseen events and future expansion of this business that we so love 💗
