Let’s help No Swine Left Behind secure the transportation their residents need this holiday season!

We are still chugging along fundraising to replace the transmission in the minivan. We are almost 1/2 way there, 46% to goal.
Andy & I are asking for your help in hitting our $6,000 goal so that we have a working minivan.

We have some exciting news!!!

Lulu has officially made it to her forever home at Garnsey’s Feral Acres in New York!!

This case really took a village and shows how essential teamwork and collaboration is to rescue work.

After LuLu’s spay, hernia repair, and necessary testing to get her health certificate to legally cross state lines; our wonderful board member Annie and CPR team member Eric transported her for the vet to her foster home. Lulu stayed with our amazing board member Martha and her family at Featherleaf Farm for a few days last week.

Then, on Friday morning, our board member Phoebe and volunteer Sarah met Martha, Martha's family, Annie, and Eric to load LuLu for the long transport to Chaumont, New York.

This was a massive undertaking!
Phoebe and Sarah were troopers as they encountered lake effect snow during a large portion of the drive! They finally made it to Garnsey’s after 15 hours just after midnight.

LuLu had the best welcome committee that included the director of Garnsey’s Feral Acres, Jeff, and a volunteer Erynn, along with many other animal friends!! It is clear that LuLu will absolutely have the best life with all the love and care because of the incredible people at Garnsey’s.

Phoebe and Sarah made it back safely yesterday after stopping in Ohio Saturday night due to the snowstorm.

We can not say thank you enough to everyone who made this rescue possible—that includes all of you who donated and sent words of support along the way. Please follow Garnsey’s Feral Acres and continue to support their amazing work!

Poptart update..

This lady still needs a forever home!!!!

Our amazing CPR member, Bridget, recently went out to visit Poptart, where Poptart is currently staying.

We are trying to socialize Poptart as best we can but what this girl really needs is a foster mama or papa who can really work with her to get her comfortable with people.

Because of her weight, Poptart is "mechanically blind" or "fat blind". This means that the fat folds on her face are covering her eyes and making her unable to see. Of course, being unable to see is adding to her general anxiety.

It is essential that we get this girl fostered or adopted BEFORE winter, so that her health & healthing journey can begin, and she won't be alone and freezing when snow starts to hit!!

Please help us help Poptart!! 💔❤️‍🩹

Lulu update! ❤️

Lulu made it through her surgery with flying colors!! Her spay went well and the hernia repair was 'best case scenario'!!
We are so happy for this sweet lady.

Right now, she is still at the University of Illinois. Because she has two incisions, they thought it would be best to give her time to heal while at the vet in a clean environment.
