Say hello to GABBIE!

Sadly, Gabbie’s previous owner was rushed to the hospital and passed away without anyone knowing there were animals in his home. Gabbie and others were left alone for a long time before anyone found them. Understandably, this has caused her to become very anxious. She needs prescription meds to help calm her nerves.

We know Gabbie has some special circumstances but we also know she deserves a family that loves and cherishes her! Her perfect family would be patient and understanding of her preferences. They’d have a fenced in yard, no other dogs, and stay home or work from home. She loves people and cats! Older children would be ok, but she’d benefit from a calm environment.

National Dog Week #2✨Meet Coco✨

This 7–8 month old cutie is the total package! At just 27 lbs, Coco is the perfect “not too big, not too small” size, and we don’t expect her to get much bigger (her mom was only 35 lbs).

💖 Gentle, sweet, and wonderful with kids

🐾 It’s National Dog Week! It was created in 1928 to celebrate the loyalty of Dogs and promote their welfare. Let’s encourage the adoption of homeless dogs by featuring a new pup each day 🐾

Today’s featured pup is ✨ GLINDA✨
14 months • 81 lbs • Gentle Giant

Glinda is as sweet as they come—house trained, likely crate-trained and full of love. She’s a big girl with an even bigger heart, and we think she’ll do well with other dogs and kids, though she hasn’t been fully tested yet.

She’s still working on her leash skills and is on a little break from walks while her paw pads heal and she recovers from spay surgery— but she’ll be ready for new adventures soon!

Fun fact: Glinda has the biggest mouth you’ve ever seen, but eats with the tiniest, most delicate bites. Her favorite dining “hack”? A sprinkle of shredded Colby Jack on her kibble. (We’re not sure who’s training who here!) 🧀🐾

If you’ve been looking for a lovable, goofy, gentle companion who will keep you smiling, Glinda might just be your girl. 💕

Indy: “Well….my Foster Mom gave me a report card, and she said that there were some areas that were N…Needs Improvement”
Facebook friend: No…a handsome fella like yourself? Surely there were more S’s for Satisfactory, then N’s for Needs Improvement”
Indy: “Well, I definitely got A’s in Snuggling and Sitting for Treats. I also got A’s for Crate time, like eating and sleeping through the night.
Facebook friend: See, that isn’t so bad. So what were the areas for improvement?
Indy: “Foster Mom said I was part cat….like, my attitude. I wanted to do my own thing. Fetch? Are you ,kidding? I will run after the ball but you are crazy if you think I am going to give you the ball after I just ran after it and got it. Drop it? Puhleeeez……I have it. Have you ever heard of Finders Keepers? And who does this Foster Mom think she is? Come when called?….WHAT??? You have to be kidding? I will come and go as I please. She isn’t the boss of me!”
Facebook friend: So, I see the areas of improvement now. So, I see why she was ready to send you to the Principal’s office. You definitely will learn with Principal Scot Rucker showing you who is the boss! Good luck, Indy, hope you don’t get too much detention!!

Back to School!
Actually, this is my very first time going to school, and I could easily be in the running for ValeDOGtorian since I am picking up on these obedience lessons pretty quickly! It doesn’t hurt that I am food motivated, which would make me top of my class if only they would put me in the Home Ec class!! Sometimes I do let out my goofy side…so perhaps I will be voted Class Clown.
Anyway, I do know who is getting straight As…..and that would be Rucker Dog Training. Scot Rucker and his entire staff are so great! They really help out with us rescue dogs, teaching us commands and good manners so that we are well behaved and better able to attract our future family. I am looking forward to graduating and finding my forever family! This sweet 5-month-old pup is looking for a patient, loving forever home. Anita is still shy with new people and situations, but once she feels safe, her true puppy personality shines through—playful, silly, and a little mischievous (like all pups her age!).
