UPDATE:
This time last night I was on here posting our need for blankets and I woke this morning to such an out pouring of help... THANK YOU SO MUCH... We have been contacted & have had drop offs today! You are all such a blessing to us jumping to help... The cold & winter is so unpredictable and this year has started off with a brutal punch with the weather and being low on blankets scared me for the night... again THANK YOU!
*We use blankets all year long for many purposes and needs and we continue to accept blankets, comforters, sheets, pillow cases, throw rugs, & towels... So please keep them coming our way... would love to fill our shelf!

If you have blankets you no longer need and would be willing to donate …our friends here neeeeed them. We have exhausted our supply and need more.

We also can use towels, sheets, and tarps too!

This is going to be a rough winter & we have to build back up our supplies fast.

This adorable 6-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier is still just a baby, and he deserves the world. 💛

Through no fault of anyone, his loving family has been faced with overwhelming personal challenges, and they’ve made the decision to help him find a new start.
He’s sweet, social, and so ready to pour his love into his very own forever home. 🏡💞
We are currently assisting with this match & afootion and he has not yet been fixed or vaccinated, but we’re actively working on this. In the meantime, we’d love to find the family meant to love him forever. 💕

🎃🐷 Pumpkin Update & A Huge Thank You! 🐷🎃
We just wanted to take a moment to say a BIG thank you to everyone who helped us collect pumpkins this season!
Our pigs LOVED every single one from the big, bumpy ones to the tiny cute ones. They’ve rooted, crunched, and munched their way through all of them, and it brought them so much joy (and enrichment!).

Today reminded me why we do what we do. 💛
Rescue isn’t always pretty… but it’s always worth it.
Every animal who comes through our gates carries a story some heartbreaking, some hopeful, all deserving of love. We can’t change their past, but we pour everything we have into giving them a future.

UPDATE.. we have him safe in our trailer … after two attempts, a lot of worrying about what ifs…a lot of planning and too many bruises (on the humans not Bacon!) So he is SAFE.

Emergency Placement and Help Needed

We attempted to rescue /pick up a very loved pig from Flint area today. Very friendly and 100% a pet to this family. Bacon is however homeless as of yesterday and attempts to pick up were a fail. He is very large and very much was not having it with us loading. This is emergent circumstance so he isnt left homeless.

Is there any miracle farm family type placement options for him? Anyone looking to add a friendly docile very large farm pig to their lives?? And can do so immediately…

It’s in immediate.. immediate need.

He would need a trailer with ramp or very strong Walk on ramp.? It’s a team effort needed to load…

Adding a video… Ohh! He is neutered too already and about 2-3 years old.

PICTURES FEATURING.. HAMLET. (our senior special needs Alpena abandonment & pig napping case)... Hamlet is an older piggie who was the center of an abandonment case we took in this early summer time transferred from Alpine Sheriff & Animal Control ...his owner abandoned him in a foreclosed property and then pig napped him from animal control once he was to safety... Hamlet suffers from terrible arthritis and many body scars from life of hell that we dont know the cause just know he has pain from it. He took himself a nice cold stroll this morning out of his pen which is GREAT that he walked that much because his mobility was highly concerning.... he fell right down for the belly rubs and is an absolute gem of a sweetheart & we adore him here...

Waldo... that nosey nose into the camera view... That's Waldo! The Waldo the Wandering pig of Avoca that keep the town on its toes trying to catch him for a long time... some great people caught him and he is now living his life here in our resident sanctuary...

and then we have Leonard... another awful abandonment case out of Genesee County Animal Control ... left behind for nearly year in a hoard abandonded home being fed by the squatters... and trust me his diet was super bad but he's OK and he is thriving now for sure! Leonard is older and SUPER SWEET. He loves people and loves his sleep... this pic was caught in his moment of being curious who was stopping by his pen! (Usually he is sound asleep next to his shelter!)
