It has come to that time again where we have to reevaluate our rates because unfortunately the cost of living and expenses continues to rise. 😢 However, we understand that most people are struggling right now and we want to remain as affordable as possible, therefore we will NOT be raising the nightly rates for 2026. The only change for 2026 will be adjusted long term discounts so maybe it helps us out a little but doesn’t make a huge difference for you all. I VERY MUCH hope this is understandable. I’ve compared rates to most other facilities in the River Valley and ours is more budget-friendly than the majority, especially concerning multiple dog households—I try to be very generous with those rates. I understand we are also faced with a lot of new boarding options in the area and that’s great—we can’t keep all the pups to ourselves. 😉 But I hope you consider experience—a River Valley native, family-owned business that has been serving the area for many years—when choosing where to leave your babies. ❤️
Located on 4 private country acres—fresh air and no busy traffic concerns like in town, Kamp K-9 has been serving the River Valley for 12 years under its ORIGINAL ownership! We are owner-operated as well, so different people are not coming in to care for the pups every day. This helps our anxious pups stay stress-free! And YES—we ARE accepting new campers at this time!
Helpful hints & important info:
🐾 Campers must be current on rabies, distemper/parvo, & bordetella vaccines & be at least 6 months old
🐾 Our boarding style is large indoor cabins w/elevated beds (4x4, 4x8, 5x5, 5x10 options) for each camper or for those from the same household sharing—outside playtime throughout the day, supervised group play organized by size, age, temperament—OR individual play if you prefer your dog(s) go outside alone. Finally, we do late night walks for one last potty break before bedtime.
🐾 If choosing to have your pups share a cabin, there MUST be NO FOOD AGGRESSION ISSUES and they must be on the same type of food, if I run into any issues, I WILL separate them.
🐾 Please provide your own dog food—let’s keep those bellies regulated!
🐾 Include measuring scoops in their food when packing up your camper’s things OR tell me the correct amount to measure (sometimes y’all tell me you feed them “a cup” when you really mean a huge 32 oz plastic cup from a Casey’s gas station 😂🤣)
🐾 Send any medication we will need to administer. If it’s an excessive amount, please check with me first—sorry, no shots.
🐾 Tell your babies they’re going to Kamp for a vacay too! Keep it positive! They feed off your energy—if you’re acting like it’s an awful thing, they can sense it and will have a harder time adjusting to the new experience.
🐾 Be aware of all policies especially cancellations. Make your drop off/pickup appts. BE PROMPT FOR THOSE APPTS! *Early pickups are still responsible for the full amount as scheduled.
