In light of Adopt A Cat Month, we encourage you to find the perfect cat for your Family. Cats can be wonderful companions. Here are just a few things to help you prepare:

☑️ Personality - Find a cat with a personality that meshes with yours.
☑️ Patience - understand that a new home can be scary. Be patient and let your new furry friend warm up to you in their own time.
☑️ Budget - Make sure you consider the short and long-term costs of owning a pet. Caring for a pet means more than food and toys. It also involves regular and, sometimes, emergency veterinary care.
☑️Prepare the Family - this means even your pets. Talk to your animal shelter or rescue about your other pets so they can advise you on the best cat for your family.

This is Dede DeVeny. Founder and President of P.A.W.S.
Make a difference for the animals. Be their voice. Every day I am inundated with people wanting to tell me horrible stories of animals not being cared for properly or of homeless animals. I ask you, I beg you, be their voice. If you see something that needs attention, do something. It takes an entire village to care for the animals who need us. PAWS is here to help but we all have to work together.
PAWS is a 501c3.
PAWS is every day helping animals in need. Because God wants us to help those who cannot help themselves.
We are here for the animals. 100%.
The animals do not ask to be in the situation they are in. Chances are we as humans put them in bad situations. Do the right thing people. Do what is right for the animal. Be their voice.

If you'd like to make a lasting impact on animals in our community, consider fostering a pet.

☑️ Most animal rescue organizations do not have a facility. They are just great people doing their best to rescue homeless animals. This means that the more fosters they have, the more animals they can help. So, if you have the time and resources, many great rescues desperately need foster homes. 🐾❤
