When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, and ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period, you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts, this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes. You are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction, you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well-built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown, you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

Well sad, happy day yesterday... our final boy (CampbellxEmber) went home. His name is staying the same...Majestik's Runnin With the Wind aka Dusty will be living down the road with Steffan Lehman. Dusty will be Steffans hunting buddy, also will be shown by us at Majestik Kennels as long as hunting season doesn't interfere with show!!! We are happy to still have him close and be able to show this beautiful boy! Congratulations Steffan!

Today, Neon puppy, now Majestik's Expect the Unexpected aka Nia, with new owners David, Kristi and Ben Zehr. Nia was a surprise gift for David (holding Nia) for a bit now. This was definitely hard to keep quiet about! Nia will also be heading back to the front range of Colorado! Zehr family are ready close friends with us for about 20+years (give or take a few 😉)

Yesterday, Red puppy, now Majestik's Celestial Scout, aka Scout, with new owners, Shannah Thompson and Bradley Prothe. Scout will be in the Colorado area having the time of her life. Congratulations on your new puppy and welcome to the family!!

Well another 2 puppies have left the nest. Another bittersweet day, this one a little tough. Blue now know as Lukas is going home with the McDaniel family. They also have a dog from our MasonxLexi litter named Jaxon! Jaxon I am sure can't wait to meet his new brother...but wait... Lukas will not be without brother brown...now known as Griffin! Griffin is going to love with McDaniel daughter, Carley Simon Griggs. Griffin and Lukas will be within a few acres of each other and spending everyday they can together since the families live on the same property. Tears were shed a bit as these boys went home...always happy tears! Behave boys!!! Jaxon....good luck
