Presenting: Scenthound Allentown's May Dogs of the Month!
For the month of May, we have compiled a list of a few of our favorite pups we saw this month.
Starting off we have Babushka Ireena, a Wheaten Terrier/Poodle mix. Wheatens have a reputation for being aggressive during grooming but Babushka is an absolute sweetheart. She has steadily gotten better with all her services, and we’re thrilled to see her improvement. She’s much more comfortable with us and is now doing well with the nail clipping and blow dry. We love seeing this wonderful girl come in each month.
Next, we have nominated Oliver, the Golden Retriever. Oliver is very high energy; he wants to play and run with everyone in the building. He’s very sweet though, and he’s made a lot of progress with us over the months. When he first came in, he hated the blow dryer with a passion, but now, we can usually get him mostly dry. He’s still not a fan of the blow dryer on his head, but a lot of dogs don’t like that. We’re thrilled that he’s gotten so much more comfortable with the services he gets each month.
Following Oliver, we have Harley, the Basset Hound mix. Harley is a perfect angel. He’s at ease with every service he gets, even ones he’s never gotten before. He is very friendly and loves greeting all our staff. He’s an absolute professional and we really appreciate how easy going he is for everything. We love seeing him come in every month.
Next up is Charlie, the Welsh Corgi. When Charlie first came in as a 4 month old puppy, he had no idea what was going on and was freaking out over every little thing. However, in just two months, he has improved dramatically; he’s now good for his bath, nails, and even the blow dryer. We love seeing how much more comfortable he’s gotten with us and hope to continue fostering a positive experience for him.
Last, but not least, we have four siblings - Min, Max, Zula, and Bandit, who are a Shih Tzu, Coonhound, Catahoula Dog, and Chihuahua respectively. These four are a riot. Thankfully, they’re all super well-behaved, but after their services are done, one of them, often Max, gets the entire gang to start howling. It’s both adorable and hilarious to hear a tiny Chihuahua try to keep up with a Coonhound in the howling department, but Bandit gives it his all. We love seeing this eclectic group come in every month.
Check back next month for our June Dogs of the Month!
