A great start for building a foundation to properly communicating with your pup. This training uses food motivation to lure your new puppy with food into proper positioning for behaviors such as heel or sit. We also include house breaking tips, leash handling skills, socialization, and much more! Basic Obedience Training

Learn the basics of creating a relationship between you and your dog. Basic commands of on-leash obedience such as sit, stay, down, heel, sit/down stays, open door routines, place and other expected behaviors, is the focus of this course. Ultimate Obedience Training

For people who envision taking their dog everywhere they go and having them off leash obedience trained. The process of teaching off leash obedience requires patience and consistency. In this class we teach and proof attention heel (where your dog can heel through a crowd or any heavy distraction). Your dog will be able to maintain a sit/or down stay from far distances, sit/ or down in motion, even teach commands by using hand signals and much more!

Attention UPK9/NJK9 past clients.
If you have met my dog Havok and you love him check out the trailer for the movie, “The Dogs”. You can view it on Amazon Prime, Youtube, Google Play and ITunes. Playing at Kent Theatre in Brooklyn, NY.

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally able to share how Havok and I ended our careers on the biggest high.

Havok is the main (dog) star in this movie, and he absolutely killed it!

To all my NY/NJ friends—go support this thrilling ride of a movie. You won’t want to miss it!

What an honor it was to be a part of such a fantastic production.

I’ll share more details all about this adventure soon.

Hey everyone,

As most have become aware, and for those that don’t fully know, I recently was diagnosed with MS and optic neuritsis which explains so many of the symptoms for the past few years. We found this out as I was recently hospitalized because I went blind in one eye, but I am home now and dealing with my new “normal”. I am having trouble with mobility, eye sight, as well as significant fatigue. We don’t know all the answers yet.
My friend has created a go fund me for the added expenses of support I need in the future. Thank you! If anyone wants to visit, I’m happy to have visitors depending on my fatigue and symptoms that day. I’m thankful for everyone who has brought food, support, and has contributed to the go fund me/ meal train. I love you all and appreciate having many amazing people in our lives. I completely understand if many of you have a lot questions about this. This is all overwhelming and I’ll try to continue to post updates as we don’t have a lot of answers yet.

With love,

Lee and Kris

Meet Kyro, Havok’s littermate! His owner, Sara Bryanton, rushed Kyro immediately to the vet a few days ago when he was wobbling amongst other scary symptoms. He was diagnosed with IMHA possibly a life threatening auto immune disease. However, she caught it early that we have high hopes he will make it through. With that said, costs are occurring each day. Alone one blood infusion was 4K. Which he may need more of. Anyone who is willing to help donate we’d all very much appreciate it. No amount is to small. And I know this is a lot to ask for a dog most of you don’t know.

Click on the go fund me link to read more about Kyro’s story.

Thanks in advance!

Is your dog crate trained?

“My dog did not like the crate”

As dog trainers we hear this all TOO OFTEN!

In the vast majority of cases the above response tells us more about the owner than about the dog. Sorry… truth hurts and we tell it like it is here.

I’ve not met many dogs that “like” a crate until they have been TRAINED to the crate.

I’ve met many OWNERS that did not “like” the crate so… when the dog protested and you lost sleep or could not handle the noise you threw in the towel and blamed the dog. 🤷‍♂️

Sure there are a percentage of dogs that are truly crate terrors that professional help may be needed but that is a very small percentage.

The rest of y’all just gave up because it was noisy and you felt bad. When your feelings get in the way you simply reinforce the dogs loud protests by letting them out. Dog wins… for now but in the long term likely loses in many ways possibly with its life.

Nobody ever said raising a dog was easy. If you need help ask a professional.
