Nice 7 and a half mile ride this evening (my phone died about a mile and a half from base. Uni was not a fan of the water but Mooney was his typical water loving self, I was soaked past my knees for most of the ride. Luna did fantastic other than trying to eat everything she could reach, we've got some more work to do on that.

Got to test out lucys ponying skills today and see how harley led beside another horse. Not too bad for a first run. Harley had a few nibbling issues that made Lucy want to trot away from him but we got that sorted out and ended up with a nice steady walk. Mooney decided his workout this morning wasn't enough and trailed behind us for some extra exercise...lol.

I will be the first to admit, Skeeter and I never really could see eye to eye, we had some moments that made both of us shake our head. But these last few weeks that johanna has been gone we had come to a mutual understanding and I learned to appreciate the horse that my daughter loved so dearly. He was stubborn and feisty but I finally got to see his sweet and comforting side, and I will forever be appreciative for that. To my sweet and beautiful daughter: No horse can replace that first one that you have a deep and powerful connection with, but remember he will forever be a part of your heart and memories. My heart hurts for everyone that loved Skeeter. Rest in peace sweet boy.

I know we've gone back and forth the last couple of years on this big boy, but the time has come. He just doesn't fit in my lesson program the way I had hoped. So with that being said. Uni is back in the training rotation and will officially be listed for sale after a 30 day refresher. But Feel free to message me in the meantime if you have any interest in this handsome giant.

Pumpkin got a spa day today. I'm pretty sure it was his first full body clipping, he got a bath, sheath cleaned, ears and bridle path clipped, mane thinned out and hooves conditioned. I was pretty proud of him, he took everything well (except the sheath cleaning) he was not a fan...lol.. he even got to dry off in front of the big fan for a while. But of course he had to have a good roll back in his paddock. And I think he was feeling pretty good after as he got up and started throwing his butt and trotting around. What a handsome old man.🥰
