Living in a Multi-Cat Household? 🐾🐱🐱

Cats may be independent, but they thrive on routine and the right care—especially when sharing their space with other feline friends. Here are a few tips to keep everyone healthy and harmonious:

✨ Vaccines matter
• All cats should stay current on core vaccines: Rabies + FVRCP (Feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia).
• In multi-cat homes, we strongly recommend adding FeLV (feline leukemia) vaccination—even for indoor cats—because close contact raises the risk of spread.

✨ Preventing stress & conflict
• Provide one litter box per cat + one extra (yes, it really helps!).
• Create vertical spaces like cat trees and window perches so cats can claim their own “territory.”
• Use pheromone diffusers to keep the peace during introductions or times of stress.

✨ Routine check-ups
• Regular wellness visits and lab work help us catch problems early, which is especially important when cats are sharing environments.

A multi-cat home can be full of love, cuddles, and play—just make sure you’re setting them up for success with the right medical care and environment. 💙

🦷🐾 Oronasal Fistulas in Dogs
Did you know that advanced dental disease in dogs can lead to a painful condition called an oronasal fistula? This is an abnormal opening that forms between the mouth and the nasal cavity, often under the upper canine tooth.

👉 Signs you might notice:
• Sneezing after eating or drinking
• Nasal discharge (sometimes with blood)
• Bad breath
• Difficulty eating

Left untreated, this condition can cause chronic infections and discomfort. The good news is, with proper dental care and surgery, most dogs recover well and return to enjoying their meals without pain.

✨ Regular dental checkups are the best way to prevent complications like this. If your pup has bad breath or sneezes after meals, schedule a dental exam with us today!

🐾 Did you know cats can get FORLs (Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions)? These are one of the most painful dental diseases we see in cats — like having a cavity that eats away at the tooth. 😿

Cats rarely show pain, but signs can include:
✨ Dropping food
✨ Chewing on one side
✨ Avoiding crunchy food

The only real relief comes from removing the affected teeth — and the difference in comfort is amazing!

💙 Regular dental checkups help us catch these early so your cat doesn’t have to suffer in silence.

Get microchipped or get lost.
Yeah, we said it.

Collars break. Tags fall off. But a microchip? It’s forever.

If your pet gets lost, a microchip is their best chance at making it back home. It’s quick, it’s safe, and it could save your pet’s life.

1 in 3 pets will get lost in their lifetime—don’t let yours be one of them.

Do the smart thing. Microchip your pet.
