📌 [Located in Illinois] We’re reaching out to find the impossible: a home with no kids or other animals looking to foster or adopt a wonderful senior dog.
13-year-old Neville came to us from Louisiana as a stray. He is the sweetest boy to humans and loves to have someone by his side.
The love doesn’t always extend to other animals though, which is an issue in rescue we all hate to face. We don’t blame Neville. We have no idea what his background or former life was like. He is just a goofy boy with zero social awareness and will get up close and personal in an animal’s face or do things they may not appreciate like step on them. And when they snap, he’ll snap back out of fear. Being deaf and blind in one eye is also not helpful in him understanding cues.
(Special note: Neville is currently being fostered in a home with 4 small, special needs senior dogs who can be grumpy and a senior cat. We are unsure of how the dynamic would be with younger or bigger or more unbothered animals.)
Neville is neutered, has good bloodwork for a senior, and doesn’t take any medications. He has a mild heart murmur, an occasional crusty eye that artificial tears can help, and some random bald spots. He’s even got most (if not all) of his teeth left which are in great condition!
