Man, ya’ll! The last few seasons seemed like eggs were scattered across several months… and this year we’ve had 6 clutches in 6 weeks!!

This is our most anticipated clutch of this season, from a first time momma. She did SO GOOD, giving us 7 chances to make some really neat Clown combos. We can’t wait!!

We know it’s been awhile guys! Our 2024 season got a little overwhelming and life threw a couple non-reptile curveballs… but there is still NOTHING like finding these pearls. We spaced the camera for our first two clutches, but 3 & 4 were laid this morning and mommas are doing great!

Clutch 3 - Arrowhead - Pastel Mojave laid 4 eggs, which is a smaller clutch than her normal, but no slugs and all had perfect veins.

Clutch 4 - Adipose - Pastel Lesser laid 6 eggs, which is on par for her, again all perfect and no slugs.

Both clutches share a sire, Lodestone, our Black Pewter het Candino boy.

We’re really looking forward to some of the combinations that we could get!

The girls picked a great theme and even identified the coolest egg in the clutch ahead of time! Not to mention we crushed the odds on Banana babies, with 4 out of 5! Gorgeous as they are, the hidden potential of their dad being heterozygous for two recessive traits makes them all the more powerful. We have been super excited waiting for this clutch!!

Our gorgeous Pastel Lesser girl, Sharptooth, has been looking very large and uncomfortable for weeks now. Needless to say, after dropping 8 eggs and a bath, she’s comfy now! One egg rolled out, but all of them had great veins and look amazing.

We had a new family come visit the reptile room yesterday, and our beautiful Pastel Disco girl, Grunge, decided it was a good day to lay 7 pearly whites! So, of course we had to show her off a bit and teach on the egg laying and incubation process before we concluded our tour. We went back down later and got them all pulled, candled and in the incubator! Gearing up to be a great season!!

We are lovin’ the summer rain here in the snake room!! This is the first year that our big Pastel Lesser girl, Adipose, has laid for us… and the first full season for Lodestone, our Black Pewter het Toffino boy. We originally planned and paired him with 3 girls, but he seemed to only have eyes for Adipose. And what a first clutch!! Eight gorgeous eggs to add to the incubator!

Once again, we forgot the on-egg picture in our excitement, but we did catch them cuddling a few times during the season, so we added that photo instead.

Stay tuned! With 6 clutches incubating now, we still have 8 girls that we’ve been pairing all season and most of them look promising. We’ve also started 4-5 late season first timers and a couple of those are swelling up fast.

Between eggs dropping and work picking up, we’ve gotten a little behind on pictures and posts.

Last week, our beautiful Pastave girl, Arrowhead, put a clutch down for us.

And this morning, we found these beauties from our Lemon Blast girl, Pinelope. Since we forgot to take pictures of mom on the eggs, I included “stock” photos of the parents for reference.

Should be some absolutely gorgeous babies in both clutches and some great building blocks for the future.

Another 6 pearls for the incubator. This season is looking bright! And this is the third year in a row for this beautiful Disco girl! Paired her with our Firefly Clown again and hoping for more Disco Inferno babies. Her past babies are growing like weeds and should be ready to make babies of their own next year!
