Iowa State Rabbit Breeders Association State Convention Day After shows today in Boone:
Show 1
Best of Breed Champagne & Best Opposite Champagne
Best Opposite Of Breed Californian
Mini Rex we won the broken senior buck & broken junior buck classes & the junior buck was best Opposite variety & group
And for best 6 class the champagne was one of the top three animals

Best Opposite of Breed Californian
Mini Rex best Opposite Broken group & variety again

And as always lots of laughs & memories made

Attended the Iowa State Rabbit Breeders Association Awards banquet. In 2024-2025 Iowa sweepstakes we won first place in youth Californians. We also won second in Champagnes, & sixth in Mini Rex but awards didn’t go down that far.
Kayla was also one of the two people chosen to receive a $500 scholarship tonight!

Last week we attended Minnesota State Convention…this weekend is the Iowa State Convention in Boone. At the single show today we won Best of Breed Californian & Best of Breed & Best Opposite Champagne. Such cool awards this year in memory of Bill Wolfe ❤️🤍💙

Attended the Minnesota State Rabbit Breeders Association banquet tonight. 2024-2025 Sweepstakes awards were given out & we won first place youth Champagne’s, second place youth Californians & second place youth Mini Rex…pretty good since we didn’t attend as many shows this year. We missed the Owatonna triple show & the Hutchinson quad shows in May due to graduation. Then Kayla also was 1 of 4 people chosen to receive a youth scholarship too! Great day!

Comments posted by the Algona FFA Chapter following Jordan’s final Iowa State Fair show this week. I found 6 of the Supreme Chapter Award pictures. Not sure he won in 2020 when it was the Covid year show & go the same day as the 4-H show, but 6 out of 7 years is pretty darn good

FFA Iowa State Fair rabbit show results:
In Jordan’s final year exhibiting he had the 2nd place Roaster Pen, 3rd place fryer pen, 3rd place individual fryer, 3rd place Californian senior buck, 1st place Californian senior doe, 1st place Californian junior doe, 1st place New Zealand junior doe plus other purples & blues 💜💙
Kayla had the 3rd place roaster, 1st place Californian intermediate buck, 1st place Californian junior buck which was also Reserve Champion Californian, 1st place Champagne d’Argent senior doe which was also Best of Breed, 1st place Champagne intermediate doe, & 1st place New Zealand intermediate buck plus other purples and blues 💜💙
The kids also won the Supreme Chapter Award for the Algona FFA chapter, as well as a purple herding award & both kids won showmanship awards.
