💥CONTESTING FAIR UPDATE💥

**UPDATE to the update: the committee has decide to run the fair portion on SUNDAY, Sept 21, NOON start time and the fun show will be Saturday, Sept 20. **

The committee has decided to reserve the grounds for the weekend of September 20-21 to finish out the remaining contesting classes for our county fair.

Sunday, September 21, at 12pm we will continue with Jr poles 56” and over and then go through the showbill with flags, barrels, keyhole, speed and action, and Texas 8.

We will also host our end of the year awards banquet and hopefully a fun show that weekend as well.

🛑➡️REMINDER: these classes will be ran as they would have been durning county fair time. If you scratched or were not entered for the fair then you are not permitted to run to finish out these classes ⬅️🛑

Please come and support our 4-H members and hang around for the banquet and fun show. More details to come for those!deymber

We have made the decision to postpone the remaining of contesting till a later date due to the weather and arena conditions.

Stall tear down and clean up will still be at 2pm. Please come up and help!

The contesting portion of our fair has been postponed until after the pleasure classes tomorrow due to the storms.

They are still tearing down ones at the moment. Please hold off on coming up to the fairgrounds with your horses until 10pm. That will get everyone in about an hour early. Thank you all!!

Just a reminder: Horses are not allowed to arrive at the fairgrounds until 11pm unless otherwise stated from Barry. This pertains to arrival tonight (Thursday)

Tonight we will be announcing the winners of the Horse of the Year Essay and our Ambassador Contest.

It will be held in the EXHIBIT HALL at the Alexandria Fairgrounds at 6pm.

**UPDATE AS OF THIS MORNING 6/20***

The committee has agreed to cancel/postpone tonight’s portion of the show and will re evaluate for tomorrow’s portion. There was another storm that came through last evening and dumped even more water in the arena.
