I'm a bit of a lazy cook... especially at lunch. This is noodles, cooked ham, garlic chili oil, a store-bought ponzu sauce and red acre cabbage microgreens. Total prep time: 10 min.

Highlights from the Beyond Lettuce Grand Opening celebration on July 30, 2021.

We had an amazing evening with fabulous food, delightful company and great music.

Special thanks to Melissa and her team from Rescue Events. I'm not doing another event without them. It was so nice to have a professional team to ensure everything went smoothly.

That fabulous cake was made for us by Erinn Roth of Mrs. Jo's Petite Eats. Yes it tasted as good as it looks! There's none left...

Dodson Designs brought us an absolutely gorgeous handmade custom leather bag. Jaw dropping.

I was honored to talk microgreens with Loren Harris on Bathrobe Moments this morning over a cup of tea. Loren was great fun, I really enjoyed sharing my passion for microgreens on the show. I'm fairly sure I've got at least one new microgreen fan.

Guess who is playing for the Beyond Lettuce grand opening on Friday? We are so excited to have Mitch Oeler Music play for us.

There will be great music, cake by Mrs. Jo's Petite Eats and great food expertly prepared by Chef Jum featuring some of our favorite microgreens.

It's all happening Friday, 30 July at 6pm.
It is a private event so if you'd like to attend, comment below or contact me another way and I'll get you the details.

Yesterday's test run happy hour at Refraction went really well! We featured pea shoots, clover and sunflower microgreens. Chef Jum made sushi, papaya salad, and a garden salad using greens from Fresh Impact Farms in Arlington. Beyond Lettuce is a long time supporter of Fresh Impact Farms and we are a regular customer. Here's a sneak peek at the first sprouts of test seeds in the new space...

These will be microgreens but we've got some edible flowers for a customer started as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how those will flower in the new space.
