THIS WEEK: Me at 76, Rosie at 24 earning 66% in western dressage test & also Reserve Open. THE FIRST I remember Smokey and CowBell rodeo at 17 and barrel racing in Lame' pants.

Rosi and I had a great ride!!! Got our Century Ride in with a great Western Dressage score of 66%. Not bad for a 76 yr. old on a horse, 24. 🐎
Rosi was given to me a few months ago and her previous life involved ranch work and cutting. She has a big engine and Valerie and I have spent lots of time in the saddle just trying to get her to stay on a loose rein at a walk and not charge off in a trot up to a fast lope.
I think she likes her new career doing slower more precise work. Next training goal is working on her lope, correct leads and more bend in turns. Oh and not thinking posting means going faster. lol
So "Back in the saddle again" for me and " Happy Trails'. to you. 🤠

I'm riding in this show this coming Sunday the 21st of Sept. Rosi and I will proudly do a '"Century Ride", which is a horse and rider whose combined age equals a 100 years. See more at

I'll post my ride time tomorrow on this feed. Would love to see you there and introduce you to Rosi who I was given in April of this year. Her breeding and prior job was as a very successful cutting horse. She enjoys working and likes the challenge of the dressage court. Hope to see you there.
