Layla Rose Ranch is a nonprofit, 100% volunteer based organization mission to help the abused and neglected equines have a safe place to heal and rehab with the goal to find them a forever home. Layla Rose Ranch relies on your donations for all of the cost associated with horse rescue, sheltering and care. We rescue horses that are in need, get them vet care, farrier care and help them learn to trust people again after they have been failed by humans, after some time with us and when we feel like they are ready we let people know they are ready to be adopted. Whisper says good morning, everybody! ☀️🐴

This is the face I see every day when I pull up and it's time for breakfast. She always comes and greets me and talks to me, and she's ready for the senior grain we have her on while she continues to gain the weight she needs to.

She's an absolute sweetheart. She loves her withers scratched — it's her favorite spot. We'll give her another bath soon, and she's getting closer: she still needs to gain more weight before she can get her teeth floated, but we're getting there, slowly. 💛

Meet Hollister 💛

Hollister is 13 years old. His story: he was surrendered to us after being found next door — his owners had moved to Wyoming and left him behind, not caring what happened to him. He was also hit by a car while with them and shattered his hock, so he is not rideable.

He came in very untrusting of people. But as some of you saw at the Open House, he likes people now — and he just loves, loves the kids.

Lately he's been having bad days where he doesn't want to leave his stall, and that's okay — our comfort mat system takes the weight off their legs and makes them more comfortable, so he can rest as much as he needs.

Hollister is one of our sanctuary horses — a heart of gold, an absolute sweetheart — and we are so thankful he is with us. When the time comes and he gets too uncomfortable, we will give him the last act of kindness. Until then, we love this guy very, very much. 💛

What a great event today! 🎃👻 So many cute costumes, and we had around 300 people come out! Our vendors were so happy, which makes my heart happy, too. ❤️

One of my favorite things is seeing people stick around, hang out, visit, and enjoy themselves. And I absolutely love seeing familiar faces at every open house! 🥰 It means so much to see people come back again and again and watch this little community continue to grow.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported our vendors, and spent part of your day with us. You all make these events so special! ❤️

What a day!! 🎃 Thank you to everyone who came out to our Open House — full recap with photos tomorrow! 🐴❤️

Whisper is excited to meet all of you! 🐴🎃

Come say hi to her at our Open House TODAY — trick-or-treating with the horses from 2 to 5! And just look how good she is looking. She's getting so much better, and we couldn't be prouder of this sweet girl. 💛

See you this afternoon!

Some moments just stay with you. 💛

A sweet lady came to meet Whisper today. Whisper had inspired her, and Whisper reminds her of a horse she used to have who has passed away. She just really wanted to come meet her — and she brought her an apple, with tears in her eyes.

It was such a sweet, loving moment, and a reminder of how deeply these horses can touch a heart. Whisper, you are so loved. 🍎💛

And a thank-you to another kind soul who donated tack today! We'll have more tack for sale tomorrow at our Open House — saddle pads and other things — so come see us Sunday, Oct 25, 2–5pm.

A huge thank you to one of our amazing volunteers! 🌳💛

He's always stepping up and going the extra mile around here — trimming trees, taking trees down, just doing all the extra stuff that's needed. We needed some strong help to get things done, and he shows up every time.

Granted, he does get to take the firewood home 😉 — but we are just very, very thankful for him and for everything he does for the ranch and our horses.

Our volunteers are the heart of Layla Rose Ranch. Thank you! 🙏💛
