This is something horse owners need to understand as well. That paying for these services is critical. Treating grooms with respect and dignity.
Making sure they have a safe place to work and plan for their future.
Sounds strange as a lot of horse people don’t even plan for their own.
And most of our clients don’t give a thought to that at all.
So many do not see us as running businesses. So many of us don’t understand that either and end up supporting our clients hobby and sense of entitlement.
And our employees suffer for it, not just now, but more when they become too old to continue.
It’s time to wake up a bit and plan better. Time to wake up our clients as well.
