Taking the dogs with us on trips adds extra work for sure, but memories like this make it all worth it.

I’ve gotten packing for the dogs down to a science, I finally found the perfect bag for their stuff, and now it’s all easy. (Thank you, )

We have lots of fun trips planned for this year and Harper doesn’t know it yet but she’s gonna visit three new states!

is one of the most ✨dog friendly✨national parks we have been to!

It costs $25 per car to enter, and leashed pups are allowed everywhere except inside the gift shop. Sleds and wax are available in the gift shop for about $30. Sledding is *so* fun!

There isn’t any water or shade provided at the dunes really, so bring your own. We brought *lots* of water, and our little shade tent that we use at the beach so the girls could get out of the sun.

It gets really hot in this part of New Mexico, so avoid summer if you’re coming here with pups.

There are several different trails that you can take through the dunes.

The Interdune Boardwalk is .4 miles round trip, and is fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. It’s super easy, but you still get to see cool stuff!

Playa Trail is .5 miles round trip and is an easier trail as well. This one is not hard, but it is not wheelchair/stroller accessible.

If you’re looking for a more strenuous adventure, Alkali Flat Trail is the one you want. It’s 5 miles round trip up and down the dunes, and you will see some of the coolest views here.

The pretty parts of fall flashed by us so fast here in New Mexico. We saw the leaves change, then it got cold fast and then they fell… we got snow, it melted, and now stick season is here.

One of my favorite things about living in New Mexico is that we get all four seasons. Some might be shorter than others, or you might have to drive a little to experience them, but they all visit us here.

Fall is beautiful, and you can see all the colors here if you know where to look.

Patiently-ish waiting for those cooler fall temps to get here. We’re still in the 90s during the day 🥵 We’re all just ready for pretty leaves, cozy cuddles, and adventures without face melting sun and bugs!

There’s not much worse than getting back to the car after a long adventure, and finding the car’s battery dead. |AD
