Opalite from Nine Lives Rescue NM is an absolute sweetheart! She was rescued from a hoarding case and raised her six kittens plus another kitten she had taken in. She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for her forever home! Want a cat who will keep you company, sit in your lap, and get along with other pets? Opalite is your girl! She is only about a year old so very playful too. Come see her and our other cats this Friday-Sunday 11am-5pm 🤎😺🐾

Wow!! Thank you so much to our wonderful community and to KOAT for bringing in this windfall for our kitties! 🎉👏💙
When we realized the UPS store across the street had not been giving us the food donated to our shelter and rescue cats for years, we tried to quietly work it out with them. Weeks later, we knew they were unwilling to make it right and decided a news story was important to avoid this happening to other people. 🙁
Little did we know that our community would rally and shower us with donations - food, litter, and lots of other supplies. Your generosity is benefiting Catopia cats and other shelter and rescue cats that we were able to share this abundance with. Thank you Albuquerque cat lovers! You are AMAZING! 🥳💜🐾

Noodles and Edamame from Albuquerque Animal Welfare found the best home together! They grew up in an excellent foster home with their sisters Bao and Wonton, who were also adopted as a pair. We love it when siblings get to stay together! And we love fosters who pour their hearts into these kittens - you all make such a difference for these little ones! 😺💜😺🎉👏

Murray from is such a distinguished gentleman! He is just a year old and an absolute love 🧡 He is great with other cats and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He will make such a great companion! Come see him and our other adorable adoptables Weds 11am-8pm and Fri-Sun 11am-5pm🥰
