Not just a pretty face; when Maslina says there's a rat--there's a rat 😈

Very impressed with how these young ladies have been treating the "flighty" stock (birds and rabbits) while ruthlessly handling the rats that bother them.

The farm's rat population has been decimated by this team. Pickle handles the big nasty rats that fight back, and Maslina crunches any smaller rats in one blow. Good job girls! 💪🏻💅 🐀 👑 👯‍♀️

5 dogs, 4 families, 1500 miles apart

We're so proud of the community we've built in such a short time. Two weekends ago Marlo, Kirstin, Dazhbog, Pandora, and Maslina took a grandiose road trip to meet in Greeley, CO for the second largest Open Show in the country (right behind the AKC Nationals). That same weekend JeffandSusie Warsewich, Popsicle, Samuel, Robert, and Persimmon stepped up to support a new local open show being offered in Cumberland, MD. It was a proud breeder moment to be able to have Tornjak entries support both shows ❤️

💫Our Greeley, CO recap💫

The work Kirstin and Daz have put in is nothing short of inspirational. Big baby boy handled Greeley like he's been showing for years, and walked away with 5/6 BOB, a Group 2, and a Group 3 for all their hard work 💪🏻

Maslina made sure to make a splash by taking Best in Open Show over 47 entries the one day she went BOB. She was also awarded 5/6 BOS, finishing her CM2, which was never a goal this early, but how do you put up a dog who just loves to be in the ring?

Pandora was excited to be at a show again and was the perfect breed ambassador. She's semi-retired after finishing the CM2, but keeps Marlo safe on big trips like this and is always a friendly face for people to meet. The goal of breeding is always improvement, so we're very proud of Maslina and Daz for taking the reins from Pandora as the next generation of Tornjaks in the ring 🥰

💫Our Cumberland, MD recap💫

Huge shout out to Jeff and Susie for attending their first ever dog show with Popsicle. Big mans was placed as a working LGD and service prospect, but after watching how much fun we have showing the dogs, they decided to get involved and had a blast! They hopped in a handling class the Monday before the show and absolutely rocked their first show! Popsicle got BOB both days to earn his first 2 points towards the CM 👏

Persimmon is coming out of her first season and a fear period, so the ring wasn't her favorite place, but she handled the environment it's self very well. She'll still need some more maturity before returning to big shows, but we're very happy with how she's settling in with her new home and pack. Robert is doing a fantastic job with our special girl, and his nursing class has been loving her!

The Monday before both shows was a blast. You would think 4 Tornjaks in one handling class is a recipe for chaos, but everyone was wonderfully behaved and worked well with their humans. Maslina gets a special shout out for starting to teach our friend Kaleigh how to show a Tornjak.

Thank you to all judges who appreciated our breed this weekend and all of the Pine Spring community that helped it be a success. We love y'all ❤️

We're still on our way home from Greeley, but we own an apology and congratulations to our poor sweet Persimmon.

Back in May, at the same Albemarle, NC show that Lachlan (Pierogi) finished his CH, Persimmon also finished that same day!

So better late than never, congratulations Persimmon!

Kinda chic to take Best in Open Show in an entry of 47 FSS/MISC dogs

This weekend already feels like a fever dream, but for now we'll keep it short and sweet:

House Tornjaks may build nests with your shoes/clothes/etc. when left home alone 🤣

Persimmon finally got caught on camera with her nesting ways ❤️

The super star of this past weekend was certainly our lovely Dazhbog down in Texas, but the girls also took a little trip down to Concord, NC to support a very nice cluster - Victory Lane Classic Dog Show - that treated us FSS folks well ❤️

In her first show of her first "big girl" AKC cluster, Princess Pickle was awarded BOB for her beautiful reach and drive, then a Group 3 in a very competitive, diverse lineup of FSS breeds.

Maslina stole the show the rest of the weekend with 2x BOB, a Group 3, and a Group 2. Our little professional now sits at 24/30 points towards her CM2. Our original plan was to give her some time away from the ring to mature after quickly finishing the CM, but the absolute tantrums she throws when other dogs get to show and she doesn't persuaded us to let her keep doing what she loves 🤣

As always, Maslina was a wonderful ambassador of the breed, cruising for attention from whoever was offering. Pickle was a lovely counterpart, holding a nice down or sit and accepting whatever pets came her way from there. Her biggest complaint was when a voice from the heavens started talking (the PA system), but she got used to it quickly 🤣

An added bonus of this show is being right by family, so Maslina was handled by Blake Vandiver for BOB, and they rocked it!

Overall a lovely weekend for some young dogs. We'll be adding the Victory Lane Classic to our "yearly" show list. It was a great venue for big dogs, was run very well, and we were treated wonderfully.

We are blown away at how quickly Daz and Kirstin have come together as a team. They have been putting in the work and we are endlessly proud of our Texas breed ambassador.

Congratulations PS Dazhbog the Triumph of Light "Daz" and Kirstin Webb!
