Sunday evening it was 64 degrees F here. Not even 5 days later we've got almost 3 feet of snowfall. The joys of living by Lake Erie 🙃. But the dogs absolutely love the snow, and I love watching them love the snow!! ❄️

Just wanted to brag on our crazy little Nova girl. She's 1.5 years old, so this is her first year of really getting out and hunting with us. She is smart as you'd expect a chessie and her love of retrieving and flushing has really blossomed. We've been getting her out in the field a ton this season and she's coming along so well. She's got a bright hunting future!

Also bragging on our daughter's very first pheasant, it was a BANDED rooster!

I just wanted to share the absolute highlight of my weekend. A HUGE surprise to a much deserved person & family friend.
My friend Alex surprised her mom with one of our pups. Her mom has been wanting a dog for some time now, especially a chessie. This pup will be trained to be somewhat of a seeing eye dog for her and I know they are going to have the most incredible bond.

She hit the nail on the head when she guessed it was a dog, lol. But she was totally surprised when she realized it was one of our chessies! 🥹😭💓😁

What a bittersweet weekend. Puppies are all going home... except this little dude.
Still looking for a great 🏠 for him. He won't be the biggest dog, but he already loves his wings we train with so I think he'll be a great boy for family, hunting, or any other activities you enjoy. Chessies can do anything 💪🧠

We are getting outside whenever we can these days! Today everyone played outside and explored for a long time, ate dinner outside, and we did nail trims and dewormings outside tonight too. The pups are tired!🙌 And so are we 🥴😆
