We are a small, home-based dog grooming salon located in the Albany-Eaton area The Lazy Labrador Way

1. Every dog deserves a chance. Safety above all.

There are no “bad breeds” in our opinion. The only thing that will keep us from trying to groom your dog is if they are just too big for the salon, or so matted that we can’t get a blade under their hair safely.

2. We will NEVER force a dog through anything. Whether they are too scared, or they need a bit more time, we will never force them through the grooming process. We go at their pace, not o

ur own. We treat your dogs the way we would want our own dogs to be treated- with respect, kindness, and patience.

3. The safety of your dog is the most important thing to us. Safety comes first, no exceptions.

4. Every client and their questions will be met with honesty. If you have any questions about our services, how we do things, why we do things the way we do, or anything else related to the grooming process, we would be happy to answer them. The prices are based on your dog's size and hair type, and may vary from appointment to appointment, taking into consideration special handling and/or what type of service you are receiving. Basic Grooming (with or without haircut)
Small-Medium Dogs: $20-$50
Medium-Large Dogs: $30-$80

De-Shed Grooming (with or without haircut)
Small-Medium Dogs: $40-$80
Medium-Large Dogs: $50-$100

Nail Grind (added onto the groom): $5

Stand Alone Options
Nail Trim: $5
Nail Trim and Grind: $10
Everything But The Tub: $15
Quick Trim: $10

No cheesy cards or chocolates needed- our little cuties always find a way to melt our hearts. Those warm cuddles will be extra cozy since it's still so chilly out! Stay warm out there, all my furry friends and their human companions!

Happy Thanksgiving! What am I thankful for? All of my wonderful clients!

Today marks the 3 year anniversary of opening the salon! I cannot thank everyone enough for all of the support and business over these 3 years, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for The Lazy Labrador salon! ❤️

I was able to celebrate with the dogs in the salon, and I hope you all enjoy these silly anniversary photos as much as I do!

Happy Thanksgiving, and the biggest thank you to all of my friends, family, and clients! Here's to more happy tails ahead! ❤️

🐕☀️ 'Tis the season for deshed baths and grooms! Hopefully everyone is staying cool out there! 🐕☀️

Otis was doing his best to be a "Lazy Labrador" for his and his sister Remi's spa day! Miss Padfoot was ready for a de-shed, and little Alleria is getting more confident for the grooming clippers! I love all my fuzzy friends! ❤️

❤️🤍💙 Happy 4th of July, everyone!! ❤️🤍💙

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, and gets to celebrate with friends and family this weekend!

As a reminder, it might be a good idea to help this holiday go smoothly for our little fuzzy friends to play some white noise (like a TV or radio) so the fireworks don't sound too loud for them. Using thunder shirts, or hanging out with pets during fireworks can also help them relax a bit. Fireworks are beautiful, but can be a bit scary for our pets!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are keeping cool in the summer sunshine! ☀️

Due to high demand for booking appointments, and in an effort to make sure that established clients have appointment availability, I will unfortunately have to deny any new haircut clients at this time.

However! I can still take new clients for nail trims, simple paw-fur and/or face trimming, and small dog baths.

I will have a wait list for new haircut clients, from which I will call/message folks once I am able to accept new clients again. 🐕

Happy Spring! 🐕🌷🪻🌸 It's been so nice to have the windows open in the salon lately! Springtime bandanas as well as seasonal shampoo and perfume scents are just the cherry on top of this wonderful time of year!

As a notice, the salon will be closed from April 24th to April 28th, but I'll be back in the salon on the 29th! 😊

For November, the weather sure has been nice (if, a bit chilly)! ❄️❄️❄️❄️

I've had a few questions about flea medicine during cold months, and I thought I'd share that here- fleas can definitely still pose a problem in the winter months! They're not as active, but if you're wondering whether or not to continue their flea medicine during chilly weather, my advice is better to be safe than have pesky fleas!
