Congrats to the hunter on his harvest! While the hunter did not need Gunther…Gunther needed to track! He was one happy boy! Thanks for allowing us to run a training track on your harvest. We have never seen so much fat on a deer before.
Gunther has not been needed much this year. EHD hit hard in Southern Ohio, but our deer will rebound. We had high mortality because we had a very high population.
Moving forward no matter where you stand on EHD, regulations and harvest limits- let’s not lose sight on the fact some hunters truly depend on their harvest for their families food security.
