I began my taxidermy career in 2011 after graduating from The Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy. I am married to my wife, Hailey and we have a beautiful daughter named Heidi! Well, I’m finally getting time to make a post about attending the National Taxidermy Association. I made the 7 hour trip up to Peoria, Illinois in hopes of getting a gold medallion. The trip was a blast, and I enjoyed catching up with friends and making a few new friends. The last night of the event, during the awards ceremony, I got the privilege of hearing my name called, and got to go up on stage and receive a gold medallion, and was recognized as a National Champion. That was a moment that I will never forget. I couldn’t have done it without the love and support from my entire family and my loyal customers, thank you all.

Well I’m running a little late on posting but my family and I had a great time at the Kentucky Taxidermy Association a couple weekends ago. They was top notch taxidermist from all over there competing. I took a couple mounts and was able to bring home some hardware. I was awarded the Masters Best Open Mouth Whitetail, Best Native Kentucky Species, Best Original Creation, Masters Pro-1 Award and the Breakthrough Award. It had been a while since we had been there, but we are definitely looking forward to going back.

Hey everyone, since we are in the middle of turkey season I have a deal for someone. I have an eastern turkey breast mount that I recently completed for a customer that was never picked up. If you are interested i can sell it to you like this or you can even bring me a beard off of a recently killed turkey to put on this and it can be yours for only $450(this is a $650 mount) and I can have it finished for you in less than a month. We had another great weekend at the NWTF convention in Nashville this weekend. Spent the weekend around some good friends that have become like family to us. I was fortunate enough to bring home some hardware as well, best of show masters of masters whitetail deer.

Thanks to everyone for their support and for challenging me to keep getting better. Also a huge thank you to my family who allowed me the extra time to put in on my mount and missing time at home. I’m already looking forward to next year.

This past weekend we got to take a small family getaway to Sheffield AL, for the ATA convention. We enjoyed the seminars for both adults and children, excellent food, and camaraderie.

Heidi received her first taxidermy trophy for participating in the children’s events.

I competed in the masters division with an open mouth whitetail, and was awarded the Polytranspar award, Pro 1 award, Judges Choice, Grant Foster Memorial award, Woody award and Alabama Whitetail State Champion.

The 2022 NWTF convention was special this year with our new addition! Heidi Jane was a trooper and enjoyed her first show! Thankful for the opportunity and support to be able to compete. Bringing home Best Masters of Masters Whitetail.

After several inquiries about offering classes on white tail mounting, I have decided to start offering a commercial whitetail deer mounting class and a commercial whitetail finishing class beginning the end of January. Later on in the year I will be offering a competition whitetail mounting and finishing class as well. Class sizes will be no more than 2-4 people at a time.
