Update on water flooding at Happy Dog Spa. Our front half of the salon is not usable. They had to demo the ceiling, lower walls and flooring so the section is sealed off. We have set up a very tight space in the back of the salon to work which is going ok. Not sure when the owner will fix the salon. In the meantime, we thank you for your patience.

So Happy Dog Spa is going through some tough times right now. Yesterday I came I to major flooding in the front part of the salon. So much water damage from the upstairs apartment water heater. So the front half of the salon needs to be demo’d from ceiling to floor and dried out and then rebuilt. Could be about 2 months of work. Been working REALLY hard to get the back half of the salon set up for cramped quarters for grooming. With the demo there will most likely be a bit of rescheduling of appts (many apologies and thanks for patience through this time).

Happy Dog Spa is a small grooming boutique and is looking for an experienced part-time or full-time person to join our team. We are seeking someone who has a passion for grooming dogs and has a commitment to caring for dogs in a gentle and respectful manner. Someone with integrity, a strong work ethic, has a serious desire to work in the pet grooming industry.

Role Requirements:

-Applicants must have the ability to wash, dry, and groom dogs from start to finish. Which includes:

-Bathing, drying, coat brushing, teeth brushing (as requested), ear cleaning, ear plucking (as requested or needed), gland expression, clipping and/or grinding of dogs nails while making the dog comfortable and safe.

-Experience with grooming, styling, haircuts.

-Should be able to groom 3-5 dogs a day while maintaining our standards of excellence and care.

-Experience working with different types of dogs and their owners.

-Must be able to stand for long hours and lift 50-lbs comfortably.

-There may be some office work and interacting with customers.

-Cleaning and sanitizing salon, and workstations.

-Assisting Owner as needed.

-Other tasks as assigned.

The great thing about offering energy healing at the grooming salon is I receive feedback from clients the benefits for each pup. Even though I do not receive feedback for the distance healing treatments I send to each morning animals at the SPCA & I know each will receive support, love and healing. That’s perfect in and of itself! ❤️
