We are at our limit. There’s only 2-3 of us taking care of over 30 cats and kittens—the catfe is at max capacity and we have no fosters. Donations have also started to slow down. We wish we could help them all, but we only have so much to give.

If you don’t want the burden of kittens, spay and neuter your cats!! If the cat is already pregnant, please spay/abort. Also, you feed them, you fix them. There are options for low cost spay/neuter, you can always reach out for information.

The other male cats have decided to bully Lionheart, so we have put him in the enclosure for his wellbeing. We really don’t want him to stay in there for an extended period of time—if you are interested in adopting or fostering Lionheart, please reach out! He is a huge lovebug! 🥺

All of our cats reside at our cat cafe, so this is how you can meet and adopt them!

If you are new here, welcome! We’d like to share a bit about ourselves and what we offer. 💕

The Lotus Catfe is a cat lounge in Alabaster, AL. A cat room visit is $10 per person for one hour, which includes a free drink. All the cats are up for adoption, except Sunkist, who is pictured. We also host our own events, such as Mewvie Nights and Paint Your Pet, or you can have a private event with us!

All of our cats come from our own rescue, Ginger Cat Rescue! Like most 501c3 charities, we rely on donations and community support to vet and care for our cats.

Our adoption process is fairly simple. We have an online application for prospective adopters to fill out. We do go over them and check references—because of this, we do not offer same day adoptions. Our adoption fees are $125 for kittens 6 months and under and $75 for cats older than 6 months. The whole process usually takes 1-3 days, depending on when the application is submitted.

We have had quite a few vet visits recently. Sunkist's stomatitis is not going away and he will need teeth removed. Neo's ear infection was not getting better, so we took him back to the vet. 50 Cent appears to have an abscess on his tail and we also want to see if there's more we can do for his eyes. All this, on top of regular vaccinations for all the kittens, has started to really add up. If you are able to donate, any amount helps! Please share!

We need your help! 🫶🏻

We currently have ~34 cats/kittens in our care and they are a lot of work! The daily tasks to keep the cats and catfe healthy and clean are a lot for 1-2 people to do everyday, which is why we are looking for more volunteers. Daily tasks take about 1-2 hours, maybe more if we are doing deep cleaning and organising, but you do get the perk of hanging out with the cats!

We also are still looking for fosters. There’s no guarantee of how long we will be able to stay at our current location, and we have not been able to find another space. Because of this, we really need some fosters lined up so the cats have places to go at a moment’s notice. We provide food, litter, and vet care.
