It's nasty outside, freezing rain, icy. It's completely possible to do everything we need to do inside without this but it's a super cool addition to their basement toy box where all fun stuff happens.

Bella is extremely friendly. She's been with me now going on two and a half weeks. Shes a big jumper, puller, chewer, demander of all things she wants. Mom was exhausted. We've worked a lot on just settle, take a break, I'm not going to entertain you 25/7, it's not sustainable. Be with me but not on me, be with me but not demanding to me. There's a time and place for everything. She's the sweetest dog, learning boundaries and clear communication can be tough for anyone human and dog alike. She's doing it all though, brilliant and pretty. So proud of her.

Kane is such a fun pup. He is getting ready to go home in a few days. What you see here is a few seconds of an in depth tutorial for mom if she wants to add a right side heel and a spin. None of it mandatory but a fun activity to work on together if they want to.

Super fun to watch. This was actually the first time I've seen this. Gremlin has done millions in front of him, this was his first try. I'd say he nailed it!

He just wants to hang out with me. I've had him since he was 5 weeks old. Having multiple dogs and a small child in the house it's just reality that time has to get split. It's important that I spend individual time with each and every one of them so that the time we spend together is always good. They all have feelings, it's my job to make sure they are managed properly.

I love to teach with a lure but the reality is that the instructions are more clear if I can also guide using a leash if need be. If the lure isn't working fairly quickly to start I don't wait around for it to someday take, I adjust to the dog in front of me. Every dog is different. Now that I've shown Freya what I'm looking for and proving to her that I'm going to pay if she follows, this is where we are.

We have to work on "place" a little bit today before I ask Freya to join ranks tonight for dinner. I have full confidence she will be able to do it. She's already got her basic obedience down, she's just working on applying it in a different picture frame.

That means I don't pay for every single thing I ask for, I mix it up, like the doggy lotto, you never know when it's coming, but you know it's coming. They tend to want to play even more, makes it fun for the dogs. She knows how to do all this stuff, she doesn't need reinforcement for every single behavior she does right. That can lead to other issues as time goes on, like a dog who won't work unless you have food. Been there done that, it's hard to undo.

He's waiting for her to get it down 😜there's no obedience here, just Cliff letting Ladie do her thing. I'm so happy she loves this. It's not always easy to tire her out and reality in winter it's even tougher because she can't go out twice a day to the park.
