Poor Legacy went from majestic to mortified in just a few minutes.

❤️ Goodbye, Sweet Rusty. ❤️

He was a good boy. The very best kind.

Rusty was our trusty grandpa horse, and he meant so much to our farm.

He spent an entire summer helping me overcome my fear of horses, showing up as the same patient, gentle guy every single day. He was the one we trusted with our littlest riders and their first rides.

A mountain trail professional, Rusty could learn a pattern faster than most people and carry his kid through it on show day. Steering optional. Rusty had it handled. ❤️

His sweetest job was becoming Sam’s emotional support pony. Rusty responded to Sam’s anxiety, and every day you’d find him tucked against Sam’s side, reminding him he wasn’t alone. ❤️

Rusty spent his life taking care of others. He gave courage to scared riders, confidence to little kids, and comfort to a horse who needed a friend.

Rest easy, sweet boy. You were so loved, and you will be so missed. ❤️🐴

If Rusty was ever part of your story, we’d love for you to share a favorite memory or photo.

If you’ve had to say goodbye to a horse that was as amazing as our little old grandpa horse we’d love to hear that memory too!
