This is Jolene, she is my new truck dog. She will now accompany me everyday on farm calls and other outdoor adventures. Jolene is a 3 month old Boykin Spaniel. Please be patient with her and I as she continues to learn and grow. If you have an issue with me bringing a dog to your farm then you better call someone else.

This is from a patient of mine many years ago but it’s a great technique when momma won’t let the calf nurse.
Lure her in backwards with feed right behind the head squeeze.
Once she’s caught you can check for teat blockages, mastitis, wax plugs, etc…and often the calf will do all that work for you.

I hope this helps at least one of you save a calf someday!!
