Stage 2 of making room for both ACMDG & HCB! I will gradually be moving all ACMDG appts to Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Those that have been easy to work with & are not breaking policies (minus acceptable emergencies etc), have no worries. We will find a way & if I need to continue grooming on Fridays until something opens up, that’s what I’ll do. At this point I have only so much time to work with. This means if you like to push it, this is your warning. 😉😉

Happy Mother’s Day! To those “moms” of “furries” too!! 🥰🐈‍⬛🐎🐕❤️

Missed appts vs rescheduling appts. If you’re going away for an extended period of time & wish to keep your spot on the schedule for when you return, the holding fee starts from $100 per missed appt ($120 groom minimum minus $20 mobile fee). If there’s more than one pup, the fee goes up to reflect that.

Some exciting upgraded product changes! Over 2025 EQyss Microtex was shifted to the 2nd shampoo free of charge. (It used to be an upcharge as triple+ the cost of what I had been using. I also have been buying it local, so supporting local.). While I’ve always liked the other products, I found that a FEW pups were sensitive even to the hypo shampoo I was using. As of April 20, 2026, microtex is now officially the 1st & 2nd shampoo & w soaking time. It’s touted to help w skin issues. Vita-Silk is still the conditioner as I’ve had no issues with it over the almost 20 years of grooming & it is also a superior product. As for the final spray, there are now three options. Microtex leave in spray for itchy pups. Boss or Plumeria spray for the others. Or none at all. Over 2025 I also started dehydrating human grade chicken livers for treats. Beef livers are switched out in the event they are out. Zuke’s treats will be used in the event I can’t get any livers to dehydrate. The chicken livers dehydrate better & produce a better treat. They are quite popular with the pups!!! As with before, if you’d like no treats or to provide your own, just let me know! Same with the shampoo!

As I am making space for HCB baking & market days, I am condensing the schedule. Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays will be ACMDG standard grooming days. Mondays, Thursdays & Saturdays will be standard HCB days. This means scheduling & rescheduling options will be tighter, so please plan ahead! 🙂

ALLERGIES; chicken. This is the 2nd time I’ve cut it out for one of my pups in the past 1.5 years. It’s of course the most affordable protein when making your own dog food & one of the most popular proteins in commercial feeds. My three are now are getting beef or fish at roughly 3x the cost as the main protein. Bailey is getting absolutely zero chicken this round, where as the other two still get the homemade dehydrated chicken liver treats (she gets beef liver) & eggs. The first round I did not cut out the treats or eggs. I noticed slight possible improvement but not enough, so went back to it. This time, completely cut out, her skin has improved by 70% about 4 weeks in to it. It should also be noted that she appeared to develop this allergy at 6+ years old. She used to eat chicken all the time & w no issues. I further suspect how chickens are raised & processed.
