About Us

After receiving her doctorate in clinical psychology, Dr. Kathleen Ayl became certified as a grief recovery specialist. She has dedicated her practice to grief recovery, with a special emphasis on pet loss support. Dr. Ayl is a consultant, lecturer, support group facilitator, and writer, authoring numerous articles and books on compassion fatigue and pet loss. Additionally, she has lectured to several national and international veterinary organizations as well as various colleges and universities.

Her experience in facilitating pet loss support groups since 1997 has heightened her awareness of the fact that those who grieve the loss of their beloved animals often do not receive the support they expect or deserve from their friends and family.

In times of loss and hurt our mission is to support you through it. Whether you are considering euthanasia, still recovering from an old loss or are somewhere in between, we are here to help you.
