🐾 Friendly Reminder from Hound Housing 🐾

As we are currently in canine cough season, we want to remind all of our clients that the Bordetella (Canine Cough) vaccine is required every 6 months at both Hound Housing locations.

Bordetella helps protect against canine cough, a highly contagious respiratory illness that can spread anywhere dogs gather, including daycare, boarding facilities, grooming salons, training classes, and dog parks. Symptoms may include coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, lethargy, and decreased appetite.

When we implemented the 6-month Bordetella requirement at our Advance location, we saw a significant decrease in canine cough cases. Because Hound Housing is a social environment where dogs interact with one another daily, keeping this vaccine current is one of the best ways to help reduce the spread of illness and protect all of our guests.

Please check your pup’s vaccination records and make sure their Bordetella vaccine is up to date before their next visit.
