While today marks three official years (this time around), Alex has been sharing his talent, compassion, and top-tier comedic timing with our staff and shelter pets for over six years now!

Alex has a true gift for helping shy, undersocialized animals feel safe and seen, whether that’s assisting dogs during playgroups or quietly winning over cats one purr at a time. His creativity, patience, and big heart make a difference every single day, while his humor makes even the toughest days a little brighter for all of us.

Alex, thank you for everything you do for our animals and our team. We’re so grateful to have you and can’t wait to celebrate many more years together. Happy Workiversary!!

Instead of , we're celebrating this week by showing our appreciation to long-term husband and wife volunteers, Tim and Cathy Teufel!

Starting back in 2013, this dedicated duo has had experience in many different aspects of the shelter! This includes kennel cleaning, laundry, office help, taking back recycling, participating on our fundraising committee, helping set up events and much much more!

Cathy and Tim do all of these things with a smile on their face and a positive attitude! We want to thank them for all their years of dedicated service and hope they stay involved with LHS for many more years to come! Please help us in thanking these wonderful LHS volunteers!

She was worried about falling on a holiday but we promised she could still ask for a few items today!

This week, we're currently in need of:
• Hot dogs
• Bleach
• Printer paper
• Hand sanitizer
• Disinfectant wipes
