🐾 KRONK’s MIRACLE! ❤️
Sometimes the dogs who challenge us the most have the biggest stories to tell. And Kronk’s story had a plot twist none of us saw coming.
If you’ve followed Kronk’s journey, you know he hasn’t had an easy road no matter what we’ve done to smooth the path. Kennel stress, barrier frustrations, and difficulty adjusting made shelter life especially challenging for this boy.
Underneath those struggles was an incredibly intelligent, goofy, affectionate dog who loved his naps, snacks, and being close to his people.
We advocated, shared his story, and searched for someone who could understand his unique needs.
Little did we know, his perfect family was already out there… searching for him. Missing him. ❤️
ENTER THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA! ✨
Kronk’s amazing foster family shared his picture in several different Facebook groups.
AND HIS ORIGINAL FAMILY SAW HIM! 😭
After months apart, the family who had been missing their boy finally found him!
Little did we know, Kronk, who’s real name is Gremlin, was actually stolen from his family’s vehicle while at a gas station in July! That same month, he was found and taken to the local Animal Control before eventually making his way to Lenawee Humane Society in September.
The dog we had been trying so hard to find a home for ALREADY HAD ONE.
To his incredible foster family, THANK YOU for giving Kronk a chance and making the post that changed everything.
And to everyone who shared, advocated, and rooted for this complicated but lovable boy - THIS is why sharing matters!
Sometimes sharing a shelter dog doesn’t find them a new family. Sometimes it brings them back to the family who never stopped loving them. 🥹❤️
From stolen, to lost, to FINALLY FOUND.
Thank you for proving that miracles really do happen!
