As many of you can probably see I’ve had an onslaught of people not recommending me and accusing me of things that are just simply not true. I hate that I have to address stuff like this, but I refuse to let people slander me without at least speaking up.
In April i was looking for some roommates to help me with bills. They had a bedroom to themselves and the rest of the house was shared. A couple with a dog reached out to me. They didn’t have a job and said they couldn’t get one due to living in their car. Red flag, probably, but I let them move in as long as their dog got along with mine. We set ground rules and I won’t get into all of that but as most people do you give an inch they take a mile.
That was April, now in June… there were several red flags now including them telling me their dog does not get along with other dogs. As you can imagine this starts to cause issues when I started getting an influx of boarding and daycare dogs.
Anyways, on top of all the red flags and the dog.. they weren’t paying rent as they still hadn’t found a job. They kept having interviews etc but there was always something wrong with the job and so they wouldn’t take it.
In June is when I finally had enough and asked them to move out. At first things seemed to be going ok. Then twoish days later I get a text saying they are moving out because it’s best for them. Okay, I already had asked them to so I was happy.
They said when they started a job they would send some money for everything I’ve done for them etc. then a couple hours later they “had a lot to say”. A lot of it untrue, and very very rude. This is when they started threatening me, my son, and my company.
I contacted my current clients, because they had told me they would contact one, and told them what was going on. When the client came back from vacation they stated my previous roommates had indeed contacted them.
Shortly after the client picked up their dog I had texted these previous roommates and told them if they were to continue harassing me or my clients that I would take legal action. The roommate acted like they had no clue what I was talking about and blocked my texts.
A few hours later is when I started getting random people I had never even met “not recommending” my company. All using pictures and words only the roommates would have taken or stated.
This is where I want to defend myself. There is a picture of the clients dog they contacted circulating. The owner was told before hand that I had two dog walks I do on Fridays. Hence why they provided a crate. They had also left a towel and a couple toys in the crate with her and despite my better judgement (knowing she would shred them) I left them in there. I had not put water in her crate because she is a HIGH anxiety dog and knew that she would knock over the water while trying to break through the crate (as the owner had warned me). The owner is also aware of this. When I came back LESS than TWO hours later all the stuff was shredded and her stuff was wet. There was no water in the bowl they put in there.
She was not sitting in p*e
I was not gone for more than 5 hours
And I did not “manipulate” the owner, in fact per the owners words the ex roommates had told them exactly what I had already told them.
There are SO many more accusations that I could go on forever defending myself. I will say this though: I have contacted a lawyer and will be filing a ppo as directed. I had also hidden my account for a short time per my lawyers suggestion.
