Dog Creek Kennel

Dog Creek Kennel Dog Training Classes, Private Dog Training Lessons, We train dogs to be wonderful companions and family pets. Dogs are supposed to be a joy in life.

We have competed on Obedience Trials, Conformation Dog Shows, and Hunt Tests over the years since 1972. We like to have small classes in which each Canine gets the attention he needs to work well with his Human. Classes are geared toward that end, but if you are interested in competition, we have the experience to help you with that as well. We have always included games in class to make sure dogs

and people have fun. We sure think so. We still Breed Curly Coated Retrievers under our kennel name, Addidas. We have not bred but a couple of litters in the last 10 years. We will have puppies available occasionally.

We have a new group class beginning 25 June 2024. The class begins at 6 PM. Please contact me at 607-359-4489 if interested in joining the class. The cost is $80 for the 8 weeks. That includes the collar and lead. We have our local Amish harness maker make the collars and leads for us. The class is limited to 8 students and their people. All of the proceeds go to Opportunity for Autism INC,
We do a lot of bonding exercises as well as the general dog training. We also place a lot of emphasis on socializing. I want your dog to be part of your family and society. Since dogs speak Canine and we speak English, we have to make better connections. I would love for everyone to have a dog like my Thorn. He is easy to take anywhere and we understand each other with respect. Marci

I would like to have the Curly Picnic on 1 July or 8 July. I would love to hear from Curly people and friends of Curlies which would be best. I have collected a bunch of prizes for the dog games since I have had a while to collect them. I also have a great collection of Curly and general dog items for the Raffle table to benefit Opportunity for Autism. I am also inviting my dog training class students. The class has been great. A couple of difficult critters but each week we see improvement. I will provide the meat which will be pulled pork, hot dogs and hamburgers. Everyone should bring a dish to share. We will have a lot of chairs but if the turnout is good, I will not have enough, so please bring some. Dogs need to be on lead but a fenced area is available to let them loose to play. I am so ready for warmth, as we await the next snowstorm. Spring will come!
