Cat Foster/adopt app https://www.jotform.com/form/200997587139168 All dogs are in foster care, while cats are can be visited at our shelter at 197 Middle Rd. We also keep most kittens and some special needs cats in foster care. We focus our effort

s on pets that wouldn’t do well in traditional shelters. Our mission extends to the Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) of feral cats, training of dogs with behavioral challenges, and education to avoid rehoming of owned animals. What makes CARE unique is that the volunteers take in older animals, sick animals, animals with behavioral issues that would not make it in a traditional shelter, etc. CARE caters to the population of animals that others find not worthy of life. CARE sees the diamonds in the rough, the tail wags beneath the sad eyes, and rehabs the animals back to being happy, healthy, confident family pets who bring so much joy to their families. Along with our sheltering and adoption programs CARE provide basic medical support to these same animals along with helping feral cats and low income folks who would not otherwise be able to keep their pets. In cases where people have found themselves temporarily homeless we have provided shelter for their pets until they have been reunited with their owners. Most of these pets would have ended up on the streets or euthanized. Imagine losing your furry family member as well as your home ? On behalf of the homeless pets we have saved and continue to save, please accept our heartfelt gratitude and thanks. We hope you will support our mission of not giving up on any animal no matter how hopeless their situation may be. We are their voice when no one else is there.

Hi guys - King here. I wanted to send a letter to Santa to tell him how badly I want my own home. My people told me I can’t write a letter without opposable thumbs and they offered to send this letter to all of you instead.

So here goes -

Hi, I’m King. I’m estimated between 6 and 8 years old. My foster mom thinks I’m on the younger side since I’ve come out of my shell and have lots of fun energy! I’ve gotten so healthy since being with her, she takes me to work every day and the ladies all give me lots of love. I even take trips to the bank and get belly rubs!

I am told I am very “neat” and a real “gentleman”. I don’t know what that means but it sounds like it makes them very happy. I hear the words “kennel up” and get right in my crate. I also never go potty in the house!

I’m a sweet, gentle boy with lots of love to give. I might even like having another dog to play with.

Could you all please share this so Santa might see? I’m really ready to have my own “forever home” that all my people keep telling me is out there.

Have your people email my people - [email protected]!

Heaven thinks this whole living in a home with people who loves her is, in fact, her having gone to Heaven.

Heaven is an 18 month old pit bull type breed. She had to have her back leg removed so she’s what is affectionately called a “tri-pawd”.

Heaven is more than we could have ever expected - she is ALWAYS happy, smiling a tongue out smile that will melt your heart. She is all puppy - curious, clumsy, goofy, eager to learn and excited about everything. She is extremely trainable and is learning new things every day.

Heaven loves kids. She is basically a toddler herself so she is drawn to the antics of the smaller human in the home. She is non-reactive to the dogs she’s met through baby gates and on the street. She LOVES a comfy bed and will “crate up” nicely in her kennel for nap and bedtime. Like most puppies, she loves to chew so having lots of bones handy is a must! She can run zoomies like you’d never believe in three legs and thinks having a backyard to explore is…heaven ❤️

This girl is so much fun, so full of love and life, and will steal your heart with her piggy noises, hardcore snuggles, and affectionate ear nibbles. You can’t go wrong with this girl, she’s an absolute gem.

If you’re interested in adopting, please email [email protected]!

Are you looking for a little bit of mischief mixed with a whole lot of love? Well, you’ve landed in the right place!

Heaven is an 18 month old pit bull type breed who is learning how to terrorize the house on three legs and she’s learning fast! This girl is playful, snuggly, curious and LOVING life.

Do you appreciate a good ear nibble? How about puppy snuggles? Have you ever seen three legged zoomies? Had a dog who gives the loving head tilt when you enter a room? She’s your girl!!

Heaven loves having run of the backyard, she thinks it’s a trip to Disney every time the door is opened for her. She loves walks and can keep up without skipping a beat. She is a snuggle extraordinaire and you’ve never see a dog sleep so soundly knowing she is safe with her people.

Heaven dislikes the dishwasher, the washing machine, the lamp in the living room - really anything that is “new” to her. Which is a lot of things. But she’s getting braver every day and conquering her fears, one appliance at a time.

She is:

Crate trained
Potty trained (occasional accidents)
Good on leash
Great with her kids (ones she’s comfortable with)
Good with other dogs who match her play style
Healthy!! No allergies 🤧
A petite 50 pounds - portable and pick-upable

Heaven is a gem. She is resilient and strong and so grateful to be loved. You really can’t go wrong!
